Walked along the sea wall here for miles today, al I saw was benches to sit on. Every one dedicated to people no longer with us. This place only gets 4 stars as the are locked out of order, and even though it's charged for parking is scarcely there. Not enough spaces. First visit to Canvey. The is dog friendly so the dog had a good time in the sand. Parking is very cheap. The only bad I can say is there is not very much toilet facilities. We had to leave In the end for this reason. Great for dog walking Easy to park Lots of benches and picnic tables on the and around. Safe for the kids. Attractions nearby Food nearby Drinks nearby Toilets near carpark Great for a walk Only a small part is sandy and rest has lot of pebbles and Rocks. There is no washing or shower facility. There is a children play area and are there but it was closed and was not accessible. Parking is small with some over spill bay in green area. Parking payment machines were out of order but you can still do payment via mobile phone. Well worth a visit on a sunny day The place is very nice with a perfect view of sea. It is good to buy a coffee and some food and bring to there enjoy the foods with the view. But be careful sometime it may quite windy. I spent a afternoon in there enjoying drinks and food in there. Love this place lots of parking, little with a walk along the sea wall. This is a spot for families. Lots of picnic benches, were locked up at the time we were there. This place is not well chair friendly. Walking from tge car park to the Bay was really hard, there is no paved area, very un even, the path was covered with loose stones. Nice little with children's playground. Great for dog walking and day trips Very pleasant, first trip this year, and the repair to sea wall is almost complete, so is the new restaurant just off the beach. Still one of the nicest all round places to visit in Essex. The Bay Cafe is still 10/10. We will be back in the very near future Don't bother now that they have fenced everything off and literally plastered the over with rubber pebbles!!! Sadly this is not a joke. It was previously a nice widely accessible sandy that stretched for miles, much of it rimmed by natural largeish rocks. Well that looked way too much like nature and so it has now been paved over with rubber! I have no idea who came up with this concept but it has to be someone who does really hate the look of nature and can not see the point of it. I know some of you are going to say it all happened in the interest of suring up the in case of a flood - but they have literally replaced natural stone with rubber that has been melted into place and isn't going to adjust to sand transfer as stones and rocks would do. You just know that a couple of years from now the rubber walls will have the sand hollowed out from under them, and in the end this unsafe structure will make for a much greater flood risk than the natural stone would have. But who are we to complain!!... Just so long it looks nice and tidy and no nature is going to get in the way of a nice neat look, the bureaucrats are happy! A nice small in a bay with a park directly behind the sea wall. We stayed down the far end and let the dog off the lead. Friendly people. Lots of ship traffic. Good place to visit any time. Sitting arrangements and view is perfect for picnic. Bar and restaurant also awesome. small but pretty shwltered from wind in a walled aroun d bay, perfect for sunny days or swimming though weekends can get crowded. It's such a beach. My family really enjoyed spending time there so much. sea view. Most importantly for us was that the is dog friendly, and we have two dogs who enjoyed time on a so much too. There are toilets, a car park, and plenty of benches to sit. Not too far away from London (you can get there by C2C train). We are definitely gonna go back there. We love this ⛱️. Its with kids, because have sand and its safe as its closed small area where you can see what your kids and the other people doing. Also just out of the fence have playground if the tide not high yet or off already. Clean and tidy,a area for a walk. The is beautiful but I have one minus about the toilets. There are only at the playground which are always closed so the children don't even have a place to go to the toilet.
