We did the which included 5 wines and followed that with an overnight stay in one of the lodges they have on site. The wines are excellent and they have won many awards for them. The accommodation is outstanding with a large bedroom, balcony and bathroom upstairs and a large lounge, diner, kitchenette and patio downstairs. The quality of everything is first class. There is complimentary tea and coffee and fresh milk provided. If you want food you have to prebook it at a cost or you can bring your own. Highly recommended. What a great experience! Ben, who led our tasting, was fantastic- incredibly knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We tried five different wines, including some white, rose and sparkling. We also bought a glass of red which was fantastic. It was such a great combination of drinking in a lovely area and then wandering out into the to see the whole process up close. I would absolutely recommend it to lovers 😊 We went for in August, this was a birthday gift from our daughters Very welcoming staff, knowledgeable & friendly. We had attended before but I was ill part way through due to some sort of bug & had to leave (nothing to do with the vineyard). They kindly arranged a return visit and remembered us when we arrived. Good of the and making process.....then the best bit. The wines were paired with snacks and we're very enjoyable. All white/rose or sparkling but we did get to try their red at the end by purchasing a glass each. When it arrived we were told it was complementary!!! Had a great couple of hours and took a bottle of our favourite away with us. The wines are not cheap and my palette is not refined enough to appreciate them at that price. You like what you like, so I'll stick to my Malbec. That said I'd definitely go again, there was a pre wedding group there too which was nice. We stayed in one of the barns over the long bank holiday weekend and had a wonderful time. The barn was very well appointed, large and comfortable; the grounds tranquil and gorgeous. It's worth booking the breakfast hamper, which kept us going for our three-night stay. We also went on the and tasting. The guide was both knowledgeable and engaging, and we learnt so much about the winemaking process. The wasn't bad either... Attended the and tasting. Incredibly knowledgeable guide, really interesting walk around and info. was delicious. Even had chance to try some grapes that had just been harvested. Well worth the trip up the hill (quite steep for walking up to, driving much easier) Another fabulous stay in the Barns - our third visit. They are so comfortable and really well done - they've thought of everything. The location is great - fabulous views even on a wet Winters day. We'll definitely be back. We had a fantastic stay at Woodchester Valley House, just a short uphill stroll away from the rooms. We were a group of 11 adults celebrating our 50th Birthdays. The house itself was stunning , set in beautiful grounds with gorgeous scenery, we even spotted a little deer in the garden one morning. We were lucky to have good weather. Plenty of space for us to all be together without getting in each others way. I would recommend the and tasting. Everyone at the was so welcoming and friendly. Hannah and the accomodation team were so responsive to my many questions. Great communication and the most amazing welcome hamper! The Royal Oak is a 30 minute walk from the house and is also well worth a Sunday Lunch Visit. The was really informative and was fun. Ben who led the was very knowledgeable and friendly. The accommodation was first class, relaxing and felt like a treat the moment we opened the door. Would highly recommended.
