Despite failing to (!) we had such a great, fun time. The staff were all so welcoming and very tolerant of our (rather loud) cackling and constant ringing for assurance! The were challenging, but not impossible, and I think that if we had not been hampered by 'Baby Jesus' (IYKYK) we'd have have finished the puzzles, no probs 😬😂 Special shout out to JC for being a top bloke and joining in with our shenanigans, and for the excellent card tricks. A fun room! We did the Alice and Wonderland and loved the theme and the puzzles. There were a mix and mainly not too linear until near the end. You can choose when/if to have a clue and this was given swiftly and was helpful. It was a for 4 people but would also work well with 2 or 3. 6 might feel a bit crowded. Had a here. Did Excalibur with a couple of the family and it was a really challenge, completed with only 2 minutes left on the clock. Our was Ares and they were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again for more escapes Had a really enjoyable time. Three of us did the Alice in Puzzeland room. Perfect difficulty level for us. Finished with just over 2 minutes left with only one hint needed from our fantastic Ares, aka the Cheshire Cat (was fab thanks). Definitely one of the better rooms I have done. with a variety of puzzles, our master Ares was excellent, very welcoming and attentive. We did the Excalibur and managed to with 5 minutes to spare. Our 2 first escapers loved the experience. One star off as the was a bit tatty, some of the props were falling apart and some of the mechanics weren’t working properly. This was the first doing an and we were pleased to find that Aladdin was meant to be one of the easier ones! Very happy you can shake your tambourine so you can ask for clues to keep you moving along if you get stuck! Very helpful person (Ares) who showed us the ropes and gave us clues. Really enjoyed the and will definitely be going back to try another. It was harder than I thought it would be, had to really get our thinking caps on! We had our 10 year old’s birthday party with a few friends. They did Aladdin and with the assistance of the magnificent Meg the master had a time. As the parent in with the rabble, she did a job at rehabilitating me when we got out too. 100% recommend. Had so much fun! We done Excalibur and it was so creative and the theme was so well done. I was jigging to the music at some points 🤣 Molly was a master as well, and didn't get annoyed when I kept asking for hints hahaha! Will definitely be back for a second game. Thanks so much to Ares for handling our group of 10! We split into two groups of 5 and she managed being the master for both groups and our was not impacted at all. It was amazing. She was very friendly and clear with her instructions! We had booked the Aladdin originally and ended staying for both the Excalibur and Alice and Wonderland room! Megs was absolutely amazing, made us laugh several times and was committed to each character for the rooms when we asked for clues! Give that wonderful lady a raise! Aladdin was but there was a stupid riddle we got stuck on for 45 minutes! It was hilarious 😂 Excalibur was out favorite and very well played out and level of difficulty for the puzzles! 10/10 it has a sword! Alice was enchanting but it was something a little unclear what some answers to puzzle were pointing but it was still amazing! I would highly recommend all 3 rooms to anyone looking to pass an hour of time! We also had two j20 and they were amazing as always! Bathrooms were clean and easy to find ❤️ I had a wonderful with my friends today doing the Alice in Wonderland room! Gemma was a wonderful and made our really amazing even though we turned up later than we booked for! Genuinely I would recommend coming here if you want a experience!! Never been to Cheltenham before but here for a friend’s birthday and she wanted to go to an room. Came to hunt with the only knowledge of ‘this one is hard’ - from the start we were greeted by a wonderful gentleman who got us all signed in and ready to go. Our Ares was fantastic and really immersed us in the of WW2. The were difficult but with a few helpful hints from the host, we managed to escape. 100% recommend and I will definitely be back to try the others! If London didn’t want to get wiped out then they shouldn’t have trusted us with stopping the nuclear super weapon, that’s kind of on them. We’ll ignore how we of course managed to choose the most difficult as our first ever. challenge level, felt rewarding when we did well, it all made sense in hindsight, and we’d totally go again to do the much easier game. Hardest puzzle of all is trying to read the name of the host, I think it’s Aries? Nope, failed that too, it’s Ares. job with this place Ares! Had a at this room! The were definitely confusing at times, but in a way that made the whole even more fun. We spent half the scratching our heads and the other half celebrating when things finally clicked. The atmosphere was immersive, the challenges were clever, and even when we weren’t entirely sure what was happening, we were still laughing and enjoying ourselves. Perfect for anyone looking for a mix of brain-twisting moments and pure fun. This was brilliant. From the moment we arrived Ares looked after us. We chose 'Our Finest Hour'. It was well laid out and quite hard, which was for us. Ares was available for clues if needed and their commentary throughout our in the was funny and well executed. They even took photos of us at the end on our phone, which will be a lovely keepsake with all of us in it. Definitely recommend and we will hopefully be back. We have experienced 2 rooms here now and had a in both. We found the hosts very friendly and welcoming. We needed a few clues throughout the games but found them to be just enough to point us in the right direction rather than vague or telling us the answer. Would highly recommend.
