Easily most charming of the Alsatian medieval villages. Of the six villages that we visited, this is the one I would recommend for anyone limited in time or wanting to see the most beautiful representation of this style of architecture. It’s very busy, but there is plenty of parking very close to the old town. It’s such a beautiful, colorful and picturesque town. There is a very close parking in the center and there is free toilets as well. The city has a nice vibes and it looks like Colmar. I highly recommend visiting it if you are in the area. A picturesque small in the old fashion way. The timber-framed houses, the gate and the old dungeon are nicely maintained. There are plenty of wine shops and souvenirs shop along with the famous Christmas shop (a must go if you never experienced one). Try to come early morning before other tourists or in the afternoon when they have left. It will be much more enjoyable that way. Absolutely dreamy. We found a great restaurant, ate warm cookie samples from the windows, and hunted for the oldest home in the village. Such a great time.
