We normally keep clear of Calais to park up, but this site was fantastic, it felt very safe we had a great night's sleep and we could empty our waste and top up the water before continuing our travels, it's ideal if you arrive in France late in the day or have an early morning train/ferry. We were a bit wary of staying in Calais because of all the bad publicity it has received. Not a bit of it. First of all the site is secure well lit and if you have the facilities in your van it has everything you need to service it and a peaceful sleep to boot. The aire is basic with hardstanding spaces. It is totally fenced so you feel safe. It cost 10 euros for a day and you can buy tolkens at the machine for the fresh water. It's walking distance from the beach and the town center. There is also an electric bike station just outside it. It was really easy to find. Had instructions by the gate to advise what to do and how to enter. Plenty of spaces to park your camper here. We went in December so obviously more space but the amount of spaces available in general was great. They have outside of the gate a service point (with a small charge) to empty waste water / fill up water. Lots of bins to empty recycling and rubbish. Parzellen gut groß und auch für 9 m kein Problem. Zum Strand über die Straße in die Stadt 10 Minuten. Der Campingplatz ist ganz schön. Die einzelnen Plätze sind durch kleine Hecken abgetrennt.
