Unbelievable My first experience on a ferry. Very comfortable and clean. Thst place is not appropriate for a dog to have his business...it is so small, only sand and full of cigarettes ends. Also people are leaving the poo bags there as there is no bin for it...I reccomend to walk your dog somewhere else, before coming to the ferry. Irish Ferries, Calias to Dover. We were the only ones in the dog lounge. Could let my 3 run around. They had a great time. There's also access to an area on deck. Only thing I would say was that clean-up materials for the indoor area needed replenished. Otherwise a great service for those traveling with 4 legged family members. Best space for dogs ive seen! Irish Ferries Dog Zone. Absolutely fantastic, clean and airy, complete with sockets for plugs and USB chargers to keep you entertained whilst your fur buddy has a relaxing crossing. There is also a sink to wash any mess and to provide water for their journey. Outside, right next to the Dog Zone, on deck is a special area fenced off so they don't have to spend the entire crossing indoors. Best PET ZONE on ferries I was. Bowls,water,tissues, poo bags,and even snacks available for your pet. (Snacks only in vending machine). Cold drinks and coffee/tea available in the ticket price for pet owners. Very safe outside area with basinet.
