This was a great place to visit if you’re in the area. The car parking prices are a lie though — it says it will be £3.00 but on the app it cost a minimum of £4.30. Also there was no obvious distinction between what was parking for the reservoirs and what was parking for pub next door. We walked around the reservoirs and shared the path with a running event but there was plenty of space. A nice day out! A beautiful environment in which to spend however long. Short walks, sit on a bench longer it's up to you. Parking is tight. There's a cafe and 2 public houses nearby. A lovely route can be had alongside the reservoirs, through woodland and onto the canal. Nearby cafe for coffees and cake. Car park machine never works. Three reservoirs and a pumping house(through woodland) can be explored here and looped into the wildfire reservoir route too. Wonderful place. Originally part of the 19th century Grand Union system today this is most famous as series of lakes that comprises one of the best bird watching spots in Britain. Personally I enjoy the spectacular scenery, the interplay of water, the raised walkways and wildlife is just staggering especially in winter. There are also historic parts of the still functioning around the site, as the lakes are still part of the water feeding system for the Grand Union. A really wonderful serene place to visit especially if you are a bird watcher. Great place for walking and watching nature and birds . Car park on the spot. Ahhh! This was a beautiful place! Absolutely loved it, had a lovely long along the canal, lovely views, immaculately clean and just so refreshing! Highly recommend it if you want to escape the hustle and bustle for a bit! If taking young kids take a buggy as the waters are open and not ideal, overall a super lovely place and the people were SO friendly! Loved it!!! An absolutely beautiful reservoir and canal. A car park, paid £3 for three hours. You can all the way around the reservoir and along the canal. A good place for a with lots of birds around. There is a parking area just close to the reservoir and also a side around. Took my pups for a around the reservoirs this morning and found it to be a very pleasant walk. We didn't use the car park, so can't comment on cost, but it looked to be very spacious. It’s really nice here, if there was a coffee van it would be perfect. It’s great that the Tring Reservoir connects its walking path to the Wendover Canal, making it a super long walk. Particularly wanted to take the dogs somewhere they could go in the water but was disappointed there was a "Blue Algae" warning sign to keep out of the water. However, it's still a very peaceful place to go alongside the and locks. Also lots of bird life to spot. Picturesque, tranquil , beautiful. Need I say more.
