Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital

One of the Top rateds in Haddenham Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. It needs to be remembered that whilst this does have a visitor centre and facilities, it's mainly a hospital, not a zoo or park, so comparing Tiggywinkles to them as other reviews I've read is silly. And as their prime target is to help recover sufficiently to release them back into the wild, the you'll be able to see depends on what is currently there although they do have some residents, generally those that have injuries that would make it hard for them to survive back in the wild. It is however a place to visit and definitely a worthy cause to support, with a little play area, lots of outdoor seating, some under cover and a superb, modern set of loos. Love it. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and do such amazing work. It's to see so much in 1 place. The all seem so happy and so well looked after, and there's some real characters too It was lovely. The staff were really kind and friendly. It was so nice to see certain up close like hedgehogs and deer and birds. It's very tranquil to walk around. Such a idea and layout. Would love to come again. 5 stars in my humble opinion, isn't enough recognition for the done here. With our never ending encroachment of the countryside for yet more unwanted housing, it as can imagine, comes at a very high price. Sadly this price is paid for by nature herself, from bird strikes, to badger and hedge hog car hits from peoples ignorance to rural roads, to foxes that are forced to come into towns to search for food. This hospital is an sanctuary for all of those injured animals, the that the staff, volunteers, donation givers, the vets and the owners do, is incredible. It's their passion that helps those that can't help themselves, speak for those of whom can't and educate the little people that visit on how important are. Do visit this center, there are cold, hot drinks, food stuffs, ample seating, play areas for children, informative and educational talks and videos, interactive chats with staff and the list goes on... What a wonderful place, I'm a frequent dropper offer of injured and was a chance to see what goes on behind the closed doors Best wishes and thanks to all that help here Some pics of the and some of the mouse and vole dropped off recently M to see the animal hospital. My son really enjoyed the visit and we will definitely pop back again. They are happy to show you the hedgehogs if you ask. The tortoise in the same enclosure gets quite territorial as you can see in the video. It was to visit the centre. An opportunity to see the that is done, at the same time as providing income for the hospital to continue their work. It was disappointing to hear the farmer next door shooting wildlife, whilst we were there enjoying the surroundings and sunshine. It would be to know more of the stories behind the that are there. It brings comfort to know this amazing place exists, and that there are so many of us that love and want to protect the from harm and suffering. By visiting or donating you are helping them to continue their work. Incredible place full of all our beautiful natural wildlife. Very special indeed; both the and all of the passionate staff that care for them. A opportunity to get close to nature and and share with children the nature we don't often get to see anymore. We absolutely love visiting Tiggywinkles and have done such our family moved to the area back in 2023! The site is well maintained, the staff are wonderful and very knowledgeable, and the gift shop is just the right size and reasonably priced for little ones to choose a little something. The are well looked after and they have recently been making improvements to the site, including around the enclosures, as well as adding new items to the play area. A particular mention to the Leigh who we met today and took her time to chat with us!
