Visiting Isola dei Pescatori was a nice experience, although it was quite crowded with tourists and not quiet. The narrow streets and old buildings give it a wonderful historical charm, and the lakeside offer tasty seafood. A lively place to walk around and experience local life. A small with lots of fish and alleyways . Known as fisherman island, this small little was extremely busy with lots of tourists enjoying the many little bars and restaurant’s there. The gelato was delicious. Fisherman's Island, one of the three Borromean islands on Lake Maggiore. It has restaurants, galleries, and souvenir shops. Strolling through the narrow picturesque streets with a view of the lake is very enjoyable. The can be reached by ferry from the city of Stresa. The is just kind of a tourist trap, there is very little (a small church) aside from tourist focused and souvenir shops. Nice atmosphere of small island. We had very fresh fish at bar 3 and friendly service. Nice but mainly for eating. There are several good and not so good restaurants. Just look on google to find the best. Luogo caratteristico, carino Very nice place, but a bit not so good bathing conditions in the lake, because of stones on the shore. The Isola dei Pescatori has sadly lost all its original charm and has turned into nothing more than a tourist trap. What once was an authentic and picturesque place is now overrun with shops lacking any character, selling mostly low-quality items and cheap trinkets from China. There's nothing interesting or unique left to discover. The only real upside is the scenery. The and venues in the area offer breathtaking views, truly enviable for their beauty, but unfortunately, this is the only reason to visit the island. The overall experience is disappointing and far from what it used to be. We went in the evening and shared the with a handful of people. Just calm with beautiful views. We arrived to this with a ship, we made three stops in three different islands in each one there are many with the lake view, souvenirs shops, we walked inside to see the beautiful alley and old vintage buildings, very beautiful inside and all around the beach Small but beautiful view of Lago Magiore and the other islands around. There are many small and tourist shops around. The boat ride to there was relaxing and the nature and the water was mesmerising. Overall amazing experience and if I could I would go again and stay maybe even at the hotel there. much cheaper than the before with the villa (forgot what it's called). great to relax on afterwards and just soak in the nature of the lake.
