Cliff Park

Dovercourt, United Kingdom Park

One of the Best Places To Visits in Harwich Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Cliff Park is to be found at the end of Marine Parade atop the transitional between upper Dovercourt & Harwich Town. It's a sloping of grass & formal flowerbeds with some unique quaint features, such as the beacon beside Beacon Hill Fort, octagonal bandstand & a thatched hut, reminiscent of a toadstool. Due to its location, Cliff Park is better avoided during gale force winds as it's a very exposed site & provides no shelter whatsoever & can become dangerous when heavy things are blowing around. Cliff Park lacks any water feature since the closure of Dovercourt Spa during WWI, but Cox's Pond is only a short walk away. The octagonal Public Toilet block is a good design, but needs to be used with care. Although providing the privacy of individual cubicles, the builder fitted cheap inadequate locks which totally fail to secure the doors properly. From the inside it appears that you're shut in, but in actual fact it's still possible for someone else to open the door! Lovely, open with all the amenities you would need for a visit. There is a cafe serving hold and cold food & drinks, toilets, plenty of seating and a play for children. Beach is 100 metres away with a shallow sea. Plenty of free parking close by too. Oh, and there’s a genuine Banksy close by too! Nice Park, lovely little cafe. Beautiful scenery. Went for Air Ambulance motorcycle run, very well organised event & great fun. A little outside 'gym', bandstand with benches, established trees, children's playarea, public toilets and lovely view out over the water. Lovely park. Has a nautical themed playground area, kiosk, gym area, basketball court, football pitch, beautiful bandstand, stunning sea views and lots of space for picnics! AND only 10 seconds from the beach! Lack of picnic tables, couldn't find any baby changing facilities in the toilet block all fours look the same some were locked. In the playground there are no proper swings for toddlers, gate was broken. Only suitable for older children. was generally clean and nice views over the sea. It's a lovely open space, nice for a picnic. Nice wide open space with great views of the sea. Nice bandstand and also a trim park. Little worse for wear but pleasant for dog walking Good fishing 🎣 from Earlhams to Harwich Quay +2free piers good parking Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
