BEAUTIFUL sandy at low tides. I took very nice photos and videos for you to see. I would definitely recommend this beach. The legs create a special environment at low tides. There is plenty of paid and free around. Got to be one of the best blue flag sandy beaches on the east coast. Great day out with the kids can be had as it was when I was a kid. Highly recommend, plenty of and things to do including the pier. Absolutely fantastic day out. Nice sandy beaches and loads of clear stretches of water to swim in. They have a toy library so if you go with no buckets and spades for the kids pick some out of the box and pop them back when finished. Their are plenty of snacks and drinks available from the kiosks. The also boasts a great pier. Best part for me was searching the for shark teeth. Loads of fossils waiting to be found. We spent a few days here whilst on our holiday. Would 100 percent recommend it to anyone and will definitely be going back. With the right weather its as good as anywhere. If the weather does take a turn whilst you are there you can pop onto the or to the under cover seats. It is also great that they have patrols keeping everyone safe. Oh and special mention to the lifeguard who swam out to get my sons inflatable boat after he jumped out and let it float away lol. Beautiful beaches with loads to offer. Large with huge arcade and rides and lots of places to eat and drink. Lovely view with all of the huts Plenty of around Fantastic clean beach. Golden sand stretching all the way from The Naze to Frinton on Sea. Superb place for a swim, build a sandcastle or sunbathe on a sunny day...the kids will love it. There are plenty of facilities on the too, including cafes, public toilets, and I noticed lifeguards during my recent visit. There are also water taps dotted randomly where you can rinse your feet if you've been for a paddle. The is close by should the weather take a turn for the worse. I highly recommend this beautiful beach. Great place to visit. Lots to see and do, including a long which is nice to walk up. The arcade games on the make this place feel like a classic British town, which it is. Plenty of fish and chip shop places dotted around and Ice-cream! The huts are in excellent condition. Way better than Mersea Island just down the road. It’s definitely worth a trip to see it and spend a few hours looking around. Very relaxing and enjoyable, especially if the sun is out. And absolute gem of a place. The is wonderful and offers nice walks on top of the cliffs and below. Good place to find petrified wood and other fossils. Lovely sandy stretch of beach. Promenade is very good lots of benches etc to sit and watch the sea. Good public toilets and nice little eateries with the usual tea shops and ice cream shops. convenient too. Last of the sunny days enjoyed here although it was windy. A beautiful sand beach, that goes on for some time. When we visited the tide was extremely high. But I was told by a lovely local that when the tide goes out, it is an excellent place for shark teeth spotting. There is some paid just south and inland of this marker. THE JEWEL OF THE BEACH. It has to be Claire and her wonderful refreshment stand. I'm mostly writing this review because she doesn't have a google pin as of right now. Claire was wonderfully bubbly and sweet, much like the treats that she served. She offers a selection of donuts, ice cream, iced and warm coffees, soft drinks that are mixed there, rather than being pre-bottled or canned. All for very fair prices. We got 5 of the most gobsmackingly delicious donuts we've ever had from a beach, for only £4.50! The fairest price for donuts I've seen on any coastline. With most drinks and liquid refreshments coming to £3 or less, this type of independent business is EXACTLY what you keep your eye out for when on holiday. and if you don't have to travel far for this, as a local, count your lucky stars, because I'd have Claire's sweets and treats for breakfast everyday! After living in the UK for 7 years and always opting to fly abroad for trips, I finally visited a UK and it genuinely exceeded expectations. Be warned: is a bit of a nightmare unless you arrive before 10 AM or get very lucky. Many people resort to on yellow lines. If you don't, be prepared to circle around for quite a while. That said, once you're there, it's well worth it. The is clean, and the views from the huts are absolutely stunning. While the sea itself isn’t crystal clear it's full of seaweed and not quite your typical “holiday beach” water it’s surprisingly warm and inviting.
