It's often a quiet, calm place, especially at first light where the sun rises over the North Sea & Clacton Pier. Please visit and judge for yourself! You can walk along the prom for miles.The prom is very clean and bins everywhere. There are some dog-friendly areas, then others where dogs aren't allowed . You have a choice. The is very child friendly. There are areas with buckets and spades made available for while you are there. The is made up of lots of little sandy bays. Some of them are very quiet with lovely clean sand. The sea is clean . You can access Clacton by train, but there's also very good roads. Please take a visit and judge for yourself. I’ve visited Clacton-on-sea a few times, but last Thursday and Friday were by far the best! I went for the airshow and, even though I’m not usually an aviation enthusiast, it was amazing to watch the planes performing their routines. I stayed late to catch the twilight display followed by the fireworks, which made the whole experience even more special. It was such a well-organised event, I’d love to go again next year. the most beautiful seaside towns and beaches iv seen in a loong time very clean no litter annywere was not over crowded so perfect Beautiful sandy all the way down to Jaywick, can walk, swim, or just relax. Obviously, not by the as there are big crowds and a lot of noise, but walking a bit down towards Martello tower atmosphere is completely different. In addition to lovely seaside there is a free 24-hr car park next to promenade. Lovely day out nice with too do. Good reasonable priced parking. Decent town centre with of high street shops with local ones too. Good selection of snack bars / restaurants / bars and pubs. Oh and you can hire scooters from pat points, nice touch that ain't seen that anywhere before. Lovely south facing beach. and lovely cafes Lovely view, of food and drinks vendors, lots for kids to do, atmosphere 😃plenty of shops near and around the beach, they have a wetherspoons there on the corner, very popular 👍 there is a land train that takes you around every 20 minutes. Clacton is nice, however I did come across a notification on the saying the water quality of the sea is inadequate for bathing/paddling, so no sea swimming. The promenade is an excellent walk, nice gardens along the front. This offers of entertainment and space, although the sand isn't completely smooth due to the pebbles so it is worth having a mat to get comfortable. Getting there is simple, the A12 is nearby but can get congested at times especially with the roadworks near Chelmsford. Parking can be difficult to find and the side roads have some restrictions such as 2 hours only Monday to Saturday. There is a train station for Greater Anglia with service every hour from Liverpool Street. The itself is very long so there is of space, but I'd advise a windbreaker and some extra layers as it got very breezy. Had a time here, courtesy of our housing association. They took us from London the Clacton by coach. The water was blue, the sun shined. Was nice to get some natural vitamin D during the summer. Something we don’t enjoy often! sandy beaches, visited during the weekend and surprisingly there was of space as the was not packed. Close services, amenities and fair amount of food options. Had a fantastic day despite the weather!We absolutely loved our visit to this place! Even though the weather wasn't cooperating and it started raining, it actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We started off enjoying the beach, but when the rain hit, we discovered there's so much to do indoors. The indoor activities were and kept us entertained, plus the food was really good too.What could have been a washout turned into a perfect day - having those indoor options made all the difference.
