I like the pension a lot, the was big and clean, just one hour from the starting point if the plan is to go to the top of the mountain, the view from the hotel was fantastic but the cuisine and the lovely cook was even more, you should definitely try the crepes :) This is a really cosy place with incredibly tasty food and fantastic views! We used it as a base camp for hiking and it was perfect, the roads aren't that bad, the beds are comfy and are pretty large. The owner and the kitchen lady are both very friendly and accommodating (one of my friends is vegetarian and they adapted the menu for her). I can't recommend this place enough, it's all you need! The place was very clean and very warm.The view is breathtaking.The price is good.The mattresses were perfect to sleep on. The are spacious. The owner was very patient with us( a group with many teenagers but he hates stupidity and that is obvious). The food was great . Thank misses Adriana for cooking for us what ever the kids wanted. The food was plenty and tasty. Do not expect speediness - she is a great cook but she has no helpers. We were happy to be here. The pension is nice: the views are amazing, the are clean and big. The food is EXTREMLY DELICIOUS at very low prices. Cons : the water is yellow. We stayed at Valea Doamnei 2 days; obviously the hike to Moldoveanu Peak was the reason. The place is situated on the road to our objective, has an amazing view, quiet, surrounded by green scenery. The owner was kind enough to wait for us, because we arrived late, recommended a nice old man from the village that took us with an off-road vehicle to the starting point towards Moldoveanu. The guesthouse is old, the price is relatively low, but the are renovated and clean (the bed a little squeaky, water yellowish :) ) ; we did not expect luxury so we were very satisfied. & Mrs Adriana prepared for us the best Romanian dishes. All in all we recommend this place, great value for money. Super views and great traditional Romanian food. Great stay should be renovated. Don't recommend if you don't understand or speak the language.
