Food is ready on under 2-3 minutes so it begs me to question how fresh it is . Highly entertaining the fact that's it's the only chipper in Ireland that's shouts at you through a megaphone when your order is ready .. unheard of ! Always here Always everytime, portion sizes and tasty food, not too expensive either, I would say reasonably priced in today's high level cost of living. I only tried the chicken wrap, therefore I can only speak about that. It wasn't bad, but far from the best one I've had. The meat was a little bit too oily for my taste and didn't sit well in my belly. On the other hand, it's not expensive (atm), so that balances a bit. The service was fast, meaning that the staff is doing their best to serve every customer quickly enough. Overall, a little spot for takeaway, if your expectations are not very high for the price. Vaz and Laima are running a great operation. Really friendly and traditional, super tasty and top quality grub. Excellent value too. Lovely food great service Almost perfect. Chips were a bit odd. Chips were cooked in dirty oil and had bad tatse, burger was not prepared or presented as it should and the batter on the sausage had a taste and was very heavy. I have no doubt you are lovely people who work hard, but you really need to address the food as for now i wont be returning any time soon. Veggie burgers came with just shredded lettuce inside a bun. Had to check the bag just incase the patties came separately. Really stingy on the garlic in the garlic chips. Curry chips are as plain as the dessert. I rang up and apparently 'that's how we do things here in Cleaboy'. Have I woken up in the middle ages or what's going on? Absolute rip off. Don't come here. I suppose the fish and chips were edible. The first issue was no curry sauce in bag despite being charged for it. The fish was like it had been cooked 3 days previously, chicken kebab had virtually no chicken in it and batter sausages were not fully cooked. Never buy food here again as long as current owners and staff are in situ as they look like they're just going through the motions until they leave in April. Very disappointing as food was always here. I’ve been going there for many years and popped in last week just for a bag of chips. I’ve never got a bad meal from here in the past but these were so poor I couldn’t eat them …. Got a pizza here and the base was still raw, pinenapple tasted like it was a week old, pepper segments were huge on pizza and there was water just sitting on top of pizza so they are frozen with any extra toppings added. Stay clear. So disappointed this place was so nice before Food in here has become terrible ever since these new owners took over This place. Cleaboy chipper was one of the best chippers in the town by a mile. But ever since these new owners came the food has gone massively downhill especially in the last year or so,Also the price of food in here is absolutely ridiculous for the food that gets served. I highly recommend not to go here as there is plenty of better chipper's in waterford city. Was here today but not coming back again after they served me dry and burnt fish.
