Wow!! Stopped here a couple of days ago and had such a good experience that we came back the next morning. The food here is incredible and the service was so kind. Enjoyed a variety of things during our couple visits - the scones were delicious and served with fresh cream and homemade jam. They also have divine homemade lemon curd. Lattes and cappuccinos got great reviews from my family - I very much enjoyed my Barry's tea. I had my heart set on a full Irish breakfast and I fear that Knockdrinna's might have the best in Ireland. Mom and sister enjoyed the sausage roll very much as did my dad with his breakfast sandwich. A which you are so sad to leave... would love to return here one day. Thank you! 100% recommended café stop. Unreal sandwich, coffee and pie + sweet options. The customer service is the cherry on top that makes this place a must-visit for anyone traveling through Kilkenny! You know it's good when it's a staple for local cyclists! Our group had a couple of their vegetarian quiches of the day with side salads and the recently added Roast Beef Ciabatta. Previously we had gotten cappuccinos and lattes with the occasional oat milk shot. The quiches were baked to perfection with a crust like no other I've ever tasted and the beef sandwich was garnished with an unbelievable homemade pesto and a movingly generous portion of meat. Maybe a little bit too much onion in the broccoli salad but overall 5 star plates. Wish I had space to justify grabbing any one of the gourmet sausage rolls (of which they have 3 types!!). Cappuccinos and Lattes were a perfect way to wake up in the nearby B&B which is also a treat and recommend a stay in. 5/5. I was staying at the stables at Knockdrinna and instead of rooster crowing " I woke with the smell of freshly baked bread " I thought I was dreaming. The is a true hidden gem! with great coffee and delicious homemade cakes "lemon drizzle cake" "I would definitely recommend a visit" Quaint, charming, homely cottage atmosphere here. Attentive, efficient staff, good facilities and fine food. A lovely stove inside for chilly days and a courtyard for outside dining when weather is more pleasant. Great little place. We both enjoyed a full Irish breakfast and it was spot on delicious. THEN we walked into their takeaway and found even more amazing pastries, drinks, food, honey and much more. My recommendation would be to walk into their takeaway area before just ordering off the menu. It would have likely changed our order a bit. We absolutely loved it here and have already planned out next visit! We stopped here for lunch and got the chicken and stuffing sandwich which ended up being slightly spicy which was a pleasant surprise. We are driving 2 hours tomorrow just to get this sandwich again! Well done to the chef and all staff at this who were so helpful! See you tomorrow!! A gorgeous country cafe, with exceptional service and delicious food. Was an accidental find but absolutely made out day, what a beautiful and well prepared little cafe. Thank you The first time I have ordered a veggie breakfast. Delicious! We all enjoyed our meals. Fantastic service. Will come again.
