We stopped there for some food during our trip. Food was absolutely cold and we got charged extra 2.19 EUR just for spon of gravy. Not clean, cobwebs from light fittings, fridge not working and empty beer bottles left in it. Bathroom door handle almost fell off on inside. Previous guest's empty shower gel still in shower. Shower head broken and leaking, also drain not draining properly. Toothpaste on bathroom floor. Pillows very thin. A complete lack of professionalism and customer service. Booked a room through a booking site , received the confirmation, but when I arrived at the hotel I was told there was no availability and that my name was not on 'the list'. The receptionist/cashier (only one person serving the tills and covering reception at the same time) was rude and did not offer any explanation. She said she is too busy to check my confirmation email - there was just me and another customer waiting - and completely dismissed me. Because of this I had to spend then next two hours looking for alternative accommodation. Very sad. we used to stay here years ago. we returned after 15 years to find the hotel in a sorry state. our room had a TV from the 90s, which didn't work; the plug from the wash basin had long gone, the bathroom lights didn't all work, and there was no fridge to store our water - we questioned this and we're told that although it stated it on the description, none of the rooms had fridges. Our room, which was a no - smoking room (this is in 2016) had that familiar smoky tang, and we even had to make our own beds. One thin pillow is provided per person. staff seem to show no sense of responsibility and we were awoken around 3pm by loud and inconsiderate guests who stood outside our room shouting and smoking. As stated by a previous reviewer, the building is nor even secure as the doors can be opened easily by anyone. I fear it's days are numbered and recommend staying elsewhere.
