I came to this place to participate in my fifth Erasmus+ experience with a lot of fantastic people, including the organizers who rented the whole place for more or less one week; the place is rather huge and, at the ground floor, there is a bar, an activity room and a kitchen (all the team had to cook and/or clean); at the first and second floor, there are the rooms and the emergency stairs. Outside, there are some tables and chairs, the smoking area and garbage cans for many kinds of trash, they practice waste sorting, so they respect the environment. The whole place is awesome, as charming as the city of Oldermarkt itself, and there is a useful bus stop in front of the hotel (Kruisstraat, bus 75 and 76). If you want to catch the bus in the evening, you have to turn the torch of your smartphone on, otherwise the bus driver may not see you. You can buy the ticket on the bus and pay with card. The only weakness of this place is the fact that bedside tables are missing in the rooms (it's a bit uncomfortable); they don't provide you hairdryer, towels and soap, so you have to bring them by yourself. But, after putting everything together, I decide to give five stars to this place! It was a good place to stay. Clean, with everything we needed. It was cold in the rooms but under the blankets everything was warm and nice :) nothing else to say, if you ever need somewhere to stay in Oldemarkt, this is the place Wat een inzet !! 1 man in de keuken en de eigenaresse verzorgde de bediening waarbij zij een tiener subtiel ondersteunende klusjes liet doen. De kok had zich duidelijk goed voorbereid want het eten kwam gestaag uit de keuken en was goed verzorgd. Op de foto zie je spare ribs die perfect gegaard waren, niet vet en wél smaakvol. Deze plate was compleet en werd voor euro 17,50 aangeboden. Tijdens onze aanwezigheid zeker 30 couverts zien passeren die er verzorgd uitzagen. Voldoende sfeer, genoeg vermaak voor kinderen dat zich buiten afspeelde en keurige toiletten. Waarom nu geen vijfde ster ? Met een extra volwaardige kracht in de bediening komt alles beter tot zijn recht!! Great family room. Helpful staff. Free parking. Good location if you travel with a car. Top Even binnenwaaien met 4 Kids en alles kon. Was best druk voor een dinsdag, maar alles picobello verzorgt met een glimlach. Kinderen happy, papa happy. Eten was echt heerlijk en veel (te)veel. Goed gegeten voor een prima prijs.
