Enjoyed walking the 7 miles around the reservoir. It’s a well pathed route that follows reservoir. Great views across the water. Lovely ,a bit up and down nothing to strenuous. About 7 miles in distance Plenty of parking. Lovely open expanse. Not enough space for quantity of visitors today having picnics. Could do with more than icecream van for refreshments. Dustbins for rubbish and toilets for those in need are needed too. Walking and cycling for those who fancy a bit of exercise. One of the best places to come for a relaxing or a picnic. Love the lake, it's huge and the water looks so blue. I would definitely recommend everyone to visit this place. Perfect place for insta photos too. I love Pitsford reservoir, I go here most weeks. Admittedly, you get the best and the worst of the weather here, along with fresh air, wildlife, ice cream, coffee stops, carparking, well the list goes on. It's a 2 hours all the way around, but I at a fair pace, maybe 3 hours if you're having a coffee and a wander. Very good place, for walking with the family, or do running and long distance which I like to do it in here, very nice natural place. Fabulous walking lots of benches if you want a sit with Lovely views across the water. I walked all round the reservoir the winding path up gentle hills takes you through woodlands with some good wildlife taking about about 2 hrs I believe you can also hire bikes. Good children's area lots picnic tables. Take your own food and drinks! There is a cafe but the service when I was waiting to order a coffee was not good. Often ignored by staff a lady in front of me had ordered and was waiting on the sidelines (where you are meant to hang around for your order) for 2 cans of pop and a slice of cake this took 25 minutes !! So taking your own will avoid this unnecessary waste of time. Honestly watching paint dry is more fun..that aside I had spent a jolly nice day walking and enjoying nature Expensive parking Absolutely beautiful Love this circular walk/bike ride. Nearly 7 miles of pathway with ice cream as a halfway treat ☺️ I always feel accomplished after this. Absolutely love it here, beautiful scenery and lake plus everyone is friendly and say hello Nice day out .. great for a long or cycle. Bbq area.. bench tables to sit at .. lovely view of the lake. Good size car park. Worth a visit :) Beautiful space. My quiet place Beautiful spot for walking or cycling. At the Brixworth side there are toilets, a cafe and play areas. My kids loved the playgrounds when they were young.
