There is no signage or explanation anywhere about bicycle rental. I only noticed the bikes arranged in a barn like structure and asked. He told me no his family was not 15 members enough to ride all this bike and yes they were for rent.😂😂😂. His sense of humor was a miss for me. They have many bikes and even electric models for rent. I was given a pamphlet about the bikes but it lacked details about how the rental was made only pricing no details for duration. I asked and was told it was per day. We asked about the room for rent and were told it was in the barn? The man was not busy but reading a book and didn’t seem to want to show us the bikes or the room so we didn’t push it. We purchased the coffee and drink along with some rhubarb preserves. Like I said the area is amazing the town has a great feel and I would like to stay next time though the town but worry the man doesn’t care to see me again but possibly he will reply here. I would love to help with advertising social media and anything I can for this place to succeed. An absolutely wonderful experience. The whole village is extremely quiet and the cafe is superb. Yes, it’s an authentic place, there are some nice details especially inside and there is space for enough people. But it could be a bit more taken care of on the outside. I appreciate the area and the effort to keep this place open, but even if there’s a less crowded period, the host should be more welcoming and less hipster-ish. You welcome your clients and offer to help them or tell them a story when they come to your place, you don’t ask “how can I help you?” with a slightly confusing attitude, we came here as a first stop to discover the area, we clearly didn’t know the surroundings :) Also even if you set up bucharest level pricing and offer some local produced juices, which is a practice I encourage since people visiting here will be willing to spend, I would insist on having a special selection of tees and coffee as well. Something people will remember you for. And it’s not even that hard. Origo coffee is affordable and it’s excellent even without professional equipment. Or even better, get the specialty coffee from Brasov in order to encourage local production. All in all it’a nice place, but it can be so much better if it would’ve been more cosy. I know cosy is not rural authentic, but it can definitely be a not invasive pleasant touch. Probably it would be much more pleasant in summer than autumn, anyway, 🤞! Definitely going back We discovered this place by chance and it turned out to be the best stop of the day. It is a beautiful place, a real garden where you feel far from everything but at ease. Although we only had two coffee and a cake, we would have loved to have more time to spare and enjoy the charm of the place.
