Yes, water is turquoise and clear, but facilities are very poor - dirty toilets, no changing table for babies, no changing rooms, no showers, no beach bar, no playground. Expected really more. The beach is so small that people are sitting/laying really next to each other. And also it’s a windy side of the lake - cold in the shadow, and in the sun you don’t notice when you get sunburned (July 2022). There are better swimming lakes with better facilities and spacious beach areas in the surroundings. Don’t recommend in the high season. Can get very crowded on weekends. Only small entrances to the lake itself. A lot of trees for shade and barbecue stations. Catering is disappointing and long queues, only few options. Toilets not very clean and too few. The lake itself is nice to swim in. One of my favorite places to go swimming. Lots of place to lay around. Really clean water. People have been actually taking care of the requirements of distance, which was surprisingly good. Really good parking place and in my opinion, good priced. Man wird hier so krass bei Parkplatzgebühren abgezockt! Wenn man unter der Woche nachm Arbeiten um 17 Uhr an den See möchte, muss man noch 7 Euro Tagesgebühr bezahlen! Der Abendtarif gilt ab 17:15, was schon echt ne Frechheit ist. Die Parkgebühren insgesamt sind unverschämt teuer. Denn der Parkplatz ist krum, schief und voller Schlaglöcher, sehr staubig, es gibt keine Haftung und keine Sicherheit. Da weiß ich beim besten Willen nicht, warum die Gebühren so teuer sind. Der Baggersee an sich ist zwar groß, aber der Badebereich ist winzig. Bei heißem Wetter am Wochenende sieht es hier aus wie im chinesischen Schwimmbad. Um den See spazieren geht auch nicht. Ja, das Wasser ist schön sauber und klar, das ist aber auch schon alles. Eine richtige Abzocke der Gemeinde Weingarten! Waren am Sonntag seit sehr langer Zeit mal wieder dort. Wir haben um ca 13Uhr festgestellt, dass weder das Kiosk noch das Restaurant offen hat... hierzu konnte ich zuvor in Rezensionen nichts finden. Das Restaurant hat scheinbar (laut deren Homepage) nur noch von Do-So ab 17Uhr geöffnet. Über das Kiosk konnte ich gar nichts herausfinden. Ein Glück hat ein Pizzalieferant (Best of Grill Pizza Haus) ausgeholfen - schnelle Lieferung und die Pizza war perfekt🙏 Ansonsten waren die Toiletten wie früher versifft und haben saumäßig gestunken. Der See an sich war aber schön und das Wasser (anfangs) sehr klar. Die Security / Aufsicht nimmt den Job leider viel zu Ernst. Man bezahlt ja schon den Parkplatz von 7€, da man mit dem Auto gekommen ist und sich entspannen möchte, doch das ist leider nicht möglich bei diesen Mitarbeitern, denn man wird nicht in Ruhe gelassen.
