OMG!!! Very rarely have I had such a dinner experience!! The food is stunninggly good, when you pay that price you kind of expect that / but also the was so funny, supportive and kind. There are not many place like this left anymore. I was pretty stressed before coming here and after that it felt like I have been on a vacation trip. Thank you for that 😃👏🥂🍀👍🏻 Thank you for a wonderful experience! The food was amazing, the excellent and the atmosphere lovely. Highly recommended 👌 All was perfect! Food is and is perfect. This is one of my favorite places when it comes to meat and a joyful family and friends atmosphere. This steakhouse is one of the few places in Germany where you can not only order exotic meats such as crocodile but also cook it to perfection as you wish, since you are given a hot stone to cook it yourself. This is your perfect chance to get that medium rare black Angus steak, accompanied with a baked potato. Lastly, their homemade pana cotta with rasberries is to die for! The ambience is charming and rustic with real old candles and wooden chairs and tables. The is and the people are extremely friendly. We got a lachs/salmon on the house as a starter and some Schnapps after our main meal. Keep in mind that this dining will not be some fast in and out affair. Good things take their time, so make sure you're not in a rush to be somewhere. If you love meat and a unique ambiance, you should certainly not miss this. Nice place, impresive food. Worth to visit it and have a magnificent dinner. Very friendly staff. I will surely come back here. The has a nice cozy atmosphere. They have a wide variety of types of meat like zebra and kangaroo apart from the usual stuff. Its a nice WeinGarten is beautiful. But this is a total gem. Meal was out of this world. Beef carpaccio for starter was plentiful and delicious, hot stone tenderloin was one of the best we have had, and the panna cotta just divine. was good. Spoke good English. And the old brewery building was awesome. This place is incredible! Not just quality food but a real experience! From the mixed starter up to the mixed meats for the hot stone, it all tasted fantastic! And the building itself has so much history and has been decorated with such care and detail, go and it! Fantastic atmosphere, excellent and extremely well selected and presented meat menu. One of the best food experiences I've had in my life. I highly recommend to any connoisseur of fine cuisine in the Weingarten area. Warm greetings to the team! (Prairie bison filet was second to none!) Dinner at Alte Brauerei was way more than a nice dinner, it was a phenomenal experience!! It was highly recommended by my sister and my nephew, who's finishing college in Germany. The occasion was my son's birthday and this serves exotic meats, which he loves to try, so it was a perfect choice! The building (think smaller scale castle!) itself is just amazing...solidly built - the brickwork, so much history - see menu for more details- thousands of years. Just leaves one speechless and in awe! The music playing over the restaurant's speakers - pop/r&b hits - provides a contrast and keeps dinner lively! There are several different cozy dining areas and event spaces over multiple levels and a stunning outdoor patio, beautifully maintained and decorated. Ok on to the food because I could go on & on about the timeless beauty of this restaurant! 😄 We started with some drinks - there is a nice selection of beer & wine, cocktails, & creative mocktails. I had the Mediterranean gin & tonic with fresh herbs and my son had a fruity coconut mocktail - both were delicious. Our first courses were a vegetable appetizer plate filled with fresh mozzarella, roasted veggies, beets - a mix of Mediterranean and Italian flavors, fresh salads (I saw no iceberg lettuce in Germany lol) and crunchy tempura coated tiger prawns😋 Then our stars of the show arrived...succulent meats on a sizzling black stone - tender filets, ground steak pattie (tasted like there was some kind of sausage involved too) with a yimmy cheesy filling & my son got zebra which was a bit gamey but had a beefy flavor. Surprisingly good to his hesitant mom as well haha. They also offer a variety of other exotic meats depending on availability - crocodile, kangaroo, ostrich, etc. They also have a variety of tummy sounding vegetarian dishes. In talking with the owner, he's very conscientious in his buying, always keeping freshness and sustainability top of mind. Speaking of the owner, he has the greatest energy and his true passion for his shines! He serves customers himself and is so engaging, beyond funny and kind. He and his partner are perfect yin & yang and his crew is like family. The events they offer are so cool and creative and he is full of ideas for the future. My son is not one for being the center of attention but he smiled ear-to-ear when the whole team came out with the sparkler firework candle and a dessert platter - tiramisu, yummy cake...singing a raucous Happy Birthday with a good German table pounding to cap it off! 🥳🥳 After dessert it was near closing time... we shared a brandy apertif.and conversation with the owner and his partner and ventured through the a bit just to marvel at all the different spaces. We had such a fantastic time here and even though this review is wayyy too long, it provides just a glimpse of the greatness and one of a kind spirit if the Alte Brauerei. We love you dearly and we will back on our next trip to Germany!!! 🇩🇪 The quality of meat is top notch and the was wonderful. The weather was bad when we were there but I would definitely go back to sit in the beautiful garden. Food items were as far as trust my gums can judge of highest quality. The potato was a wee bit small (for me which is a big eater) and consistency was a bit squashy IMOAO.
