One of the Best Places To Visits in Herbrechtingen Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Gorgeous countryside, perfect for just any kind of trip, Mellow walks with the family, the road is easily navigable for push-prams. The sights are really beautiful and relaxing. Or canoeing in the lovely waters. There are multitudes of birds to watch. Or testing your climbing skills in the chalk. Watch out though, it's inclined to be a bit crumbly. Very beautiful destination for trip in all year. But for Summer season is the best idea. Long walks in a green and sunny valley. Between the river and sandstone rocks of wonderful shapes. A saga explains the origins of the "stone virgins" and the origin of the ruins of Eselsburg: "On the Eselsburg over the valley, a woman who had not been good enough for all the suitors was said to have lived. The lady of the castle grew older and the suitors stayed out. Then she hated all the men. Her hate went so far that she forbade her two maids to deal with men. When, however, a young fisherman once went out to the ice, they were said to have been transformed by the evil maid into the two "stone virgins." On the same evening a lightning bolt should have hit the Eselsburg. In the fire which he had kindled, the maid was burned. On a sunny day, the place looks quite gorgeous. An easy nice stroll would take you around the tal. The road is easy to walk but sometimes many bikes pass. Wonderful place. The highlight is definitely the old bridge which is rich in history and very pleasant to view from different angles. You will be surprised when you finally set your foot on this marvelous piece of timeless architecture. We will be back for more bridge adventures! An amazing place to explore! Really nice place for climbing. Lots of routes can be reached from the top, in case you feel more confident in a top rope. Some crags are well exposed to the sun, so they get dry fairly quickly after a rainy day. Other than that just a nice scenery overall with the river "Brenz" glowing through the in a squiggly fashion. Part of the roads can be used by cars during weekdays, so if you don't want to have any traffic when hiking through the valley, you should go on weekends or public holidays. The has grown quite crowded and touristy (well for the region that is) but if one traces back the Brenz water past Eselsburg, things become more remote and simply breathtaking. It almost feels like each step brings you back in history into some untouched remote lands. Also climbing back there is amazing. Beware of ticks though... Very nice area for walking and hiking Quit impressive with very beautiful stone formations on the side. The farm shop in the village next to it is also cool and the food was very delicious. It is definitely a visit worth.
