Brilliant day out, loads to see for the gardeners interest. Enormous displays of amazing flowers, vegetables, and produce displayed beautifully, gigantic grown vegetables.... Incredible . Large amount of stalls with beautifully made crafts, food halls and food courts to eat & drink. It's not really for children, there,s not a lot of interest for them. It's easy to get there, plenty of car park space ( free) well organised. Disability scooters for hire. Definitely a place to go, Newby hall is a beautiful house and gardens to see too. It's the Autumn Harrogate show, which is held at Newby Hall, not the spring one. As always a fantastic event. Again we went back and had a great time.This year( Sept18) its been slightly reorganised but in a good way.Well worth a days visit. It was a really good event that was very well organised. Lots to see and do for all garden lovers from beginner to expert. I shall be returning, and, YES, a chap was wondering round dressed as a Curlew 😂 Visited the Autumn flower at Newby Hall Today, all and all a good day out, weather was dry and 20o which helped. Lots of plant stalls, reclamation and new goodies as you’d expect, plenty of choice if your hungry but long queues, We chose a coffee & scone in the Newby Hall Restaurant which had a reduced menu but no queue 11am. Traffic management kept busy, easy out but 15/20 minutes to get in. Cost to get in £47.50 for two, in advance, including a booking fee September 2025. More seating areas please, sitting on the grass if it’s wet is not an option. Newby hall is a really lovely place to visit and hold the flower show. Great displays and lovely stalls Fantastic event, lots to see and do would highly recommend going to some of talks/ demo's. Does getting busy around the middle of the day but is much quieter later on. Parking was very easy and even though the queue was big to get in went down very quickly. Brilliant day out for all ages. Food halls expensive but captured audience! Good variety of stalls but again prices aimed for show. Where to start! My first flower show! I had a wonderful day, so much to see and do and the flowers/plants/exhibits/creativity/staff/venue were all excellent. So many wow factors. I took away knowledge and a renewed passion for all things gardening! There were opportunities to purchase lots of things for the garden, many, many wonderful stalls. My biggest tip would be - make sure you have a wheeled trolley to put your plants in, plenty of money as there's so much choice and walking shoes as you'll want to see everthing! There is free transport around the grounds from the parking lots for those less able and wheelchairs are provided for use if you require. The whole site is accessible but be aware it can get a little muddy when the heavens open! An enjoyable experience at reasonable cost and no charge for parking - bonus! Great show, lots of variety of exhibitors and some great prices The adverse weather didn't dampen our spirit. Unfortunately, only 3 stars instead of 5 given to this year's autumn at Newby Hall due to the horrendous, mile-long rough farm track to reach the car park. Definitely put us off visiting again. Stunning as ever . ONLY COMPLAINT SAME AS EVERY YEAR …. not enough seats at outdoor eating areas . Results in a bun fight for a seat …. shame . The one star is for the lack of shuttle bus to and from Ripon to the show, when a service has always been provided it is poor to not advise people that this service has been removed. My sister travelled from Leeds to Harrogate Harrogate to Ripon to find out the shuttle bus was not running. She made the decision after paying for the travel and ticket to pay a further £15.00 for a taxi to bring her to the show. The weather was awful but you make the best of it. When it came to leaving no taxis were available no-one helped, everyone working there was polite don't worry they will know about the complaints regarding the shuttle bus. My sister was stranded for almost 2 hours alone in horrendous weather conditions her partner ordered her an uber to pick her up from Leeds to take her home. To the coach driver travelling to Harrogate who had spare seats and was offered payment to take her to Harrogate, shame on you for leaving a woman in such a vulnerable position. Everyone from the organisers to the venue should ensure that a woman/any person is made to feel safe and taken to a place of safety.
