There were a few foreign cars stopped outside the museum. It is definitely an authentic one and a good example of the old times trains used in Denmark. Super En fantastisk oplevelse for hele familien That was a nice ride with the old train. We came by boat and stayed at Bandholm harbor. As it was Sunday, we took the train to Maribo and returned with the bus which was free of charge. Our 4 year old daughter enjoyed the ride, too ;). Definitely popular with the kids (think real life Thomas the train). Take the trip to Maribo if you have the time and somebody to pick you up (or take it back again). I love it. Ein liebevoll unterhaltener Museumsbahnhof mit historischem Empfangsgebäude, Güterhalle, Draisinenschuppen und Abortgebäude. Das Empfangsgebäude ist liebevoll mit altem Inventar eingerichtet und versetzt den Besucher in die Zeit um die Jahrhundertwende 1900. Im Draisinenschuppen befinden sich mehrere Draisinen. Die Güterhalle ist mit eisenbahntechnischen Gerät, Ladegut und alten Blechschildern hübsch dekoriert. An Fahrtagen halten hier die historischen Züge vor ihrer Weiterfahrt nach Bandholm Hafen, zu Endstation. In diesem Jahr sogar mit Dampflokeinsätzen. Hier kommt neben anderen historischen Fahrzeugen die älteste betriebsfähige Dampflok Dänemarks, die Nummer 17, gebaut 1903 in der Lokomotive Fabrik August Borsig unter der Betriebsnummer 5200 zum Einsatz.
