We could not keep an umbrella because a very strong wind, but without umbrella too hot and sun is killing in July. The water not so warm as expected. Maybe it was just 1 day, and other days are different. Certainement la plus belle de l'île de Ré Best on the island, by far. Je suis presque tenté de recommander cette des promenades hors saison, au passage prenez un sac poubelle récupérer ce qui peut être déposé dans les bacs à marée. Great spot..easy to park (in june) was clean and the water was warm enough. Great view. Un véritable petit coin de paradis ! La des Gollandières est l’une des plus belles de l’île de Ré. Sable fin, eau cristalline et une ambiance paisible, parfaite se détendre ou profiter d’une belle balade en bord de mer. L’endroit est propre et bien entretenu, idéal les familles comme les amateurs de surf. Mention spéciale les magnifiques couchers de soleil qui rendent chaque visite inoubliable. Une à découvrir absolument! Very long nice to spend day at. Good for barbeque and walking. Water is very cold in April but should be much better in late summer. Lovely beach. Great disabled board walk. Beautiful beach, not too crowded. Is not clean,for this I can't put more Lovely wide with shallow water and good waves for surfing. The town market is a shirt walk away and there seemed to be plenty if parking (we arrived by bike from the next town). There is a beachside bar and restaurant and a couple of picnic tables. But for a picnic on the it's perfect. Windy and wild but stunning and cleanish. Some plastic but small pieces. Nothing too upsetting.
