Tourist center at the entrance of visiting the Trakai castle! Souvenirs are available! It wasn't crowded. Basically, we didn't have any questions as tourists. This building is so beautiful, so cute and cool, we decided to go in. The room inside is quite large. This is magnificently wooden. There's a pretty big souvenir shop inside. A little informational concentrated paragraph from me: This tourist information center is located in a cute wooden on Karaimų street, near the Trakai Island Castle. The was built in 1929 by the Karaim community, an ethnic group that settled in Trakai in the 14th century under the rule of Grand Duke Vytautas. The served as a school for Karaim children until 1940, when it was closed by the Soviet authorities. In 1996, the was renovated and became the tourist information center of Trakai, offering various services and information to visitors. The is made of wood and has a traditional Karaim architecture, with a triangular roof and three windows on the facade. The is also a part of the Trakai Historical National Park, which was established in 1991 to preserve the cultural and natural heritage of Trakai. Freundlicher Laden mit einigen Souvenirs. Helpfull for any kind of info They was so rude and they didn't share information because they're so busy😂😂 Very helpful and friendly stuff. They also sell stamps. Just infront of the Trakai Castle. Gave us the map for what to visit in the city. Tickets for castle not sold here. Paid toilets but was disappointed to find there wasn’t even a diaper changing station! The souvenirs were overpriced, and there wasn't much informational material available. However, the postcards were reasonably priced. Trakai is a beautiful castle. I went during the winter and the foggy weather added an eerie ambiance to it which made it pretty cool. There was restoration going on, but the exhibits inside along with the history recorded made it a memorable experience. It was great to learn about the duchy, the castle and seeing the different items from centuries past. A must-see when in Lithuania.
