Amazing trail, although quite challenging if walking with small children. At the end of the trail, the recorded distance was around 5km and 36 floors climbed!! Great picturesque area with several rest areas to enjoy the view or have a quick picnic. The is 5km long loop. It is going through Dūkšta valley and hills around it. There are 3 ancient castle hills (no castles there), some 100+ year old oaks and overall also some good views. has quite a bit of in it (in some spots not in the best quality - couple lose and broken steps), we went on a dry and sunny day, but on wet day the could be quite muddy. Short part of it is also on asphalt. Biggest surprise was Sweet Love cafe being just next to Karmazinu piliakalnas. We stopped for a bit to have a bite, lovely vibes there. You can take dog with you in this hike as always you need to take care and as a lot of people are hiking there, wouls suggest to have the dog on the leash most if not all of the time. Overall the is good for hiking, has some scenery, chill spots and is +/- well maintained. Interesting going along the Dukšta river. Only by foot, there are steep slopes, not accessible by wheelchairs or bikes. No restrooms, there are few benches and even a grill at one spot. Probably and likely one of the most trails/cognitive paths in the entire country. Neris Regional Park direction very accurately call it their gem. The is only some 5km long, but offers a wide variety of sights: stupendous hill forts, greenery, ruins of a mill house, ruins of a dam, outcrops, old giant oaks and oak groves, “the only mountain in Lithuania”, a stretch of the full of balancing stone piles, giant boulders in the river, steep slopes, deep valleys, lovely rest stops and fantastic vistas. I went there in the fall and can be sure that the fall is the best time to take the - the already views are even more on a sunny day when colourful leaves seem to shine. The isn’t difficult, but not an easy one: expect steep slopes and quite a few stairs; it might be difficult for seniors or kids. However, if you take your time, you’ll make it and you’ll absolutely love it. Not only you’ll enjoy nature, but also learn quite a bit about Lithuanian history thanks to the gorgeous hill forts and the info plaques that the park has prepared and put along the trail. Highly recommend visiting it. Couple of hours surrounded by sheer beauty Awesome experience, though not easy with all the hills and steep stairs. A perfect method to burn calories and stretch your muscles while breathing clean forest air and enjoying the musical gurgling of the sparkling river. Great place to walk in dry weather. Haven't tested it in snow yet. Good for trip and time with friends, family or/and dog 😊 Don't expect a calm, peaceful walking trail. If the weather is sunny, the parking will be full and there will be a lot of people. itself involves a lot of walking up and down on wooden stairs. Some steps are damaged so be careful. Great views in next to rives Duksta. Old mill, stones, great river. Its really worth to visit especially in good weather. The parking is not big, but there is a possibility to park in road. The is not adjusted for wheels (no bikes, baby carts, etc. as there are lot of to climb in several areas. Threre are few places to sit and take a rest. It will take few hours to go through all trail. But its really worth :) One of the most trails in Lithuania! A must visit for outdoor lovers. Though be ready for steep hills and stair climbing :) It's absolutely worth it This is definitely the most one in Vilnius! It feels like you're hiking through a jungle. This forest is so green and marvelous. There are some bugs which might be a little annoying but nevertheless it's an amazing journey to complete this trail. It's about 5km in distance and takes about 1.5hrs to complete it. Best time to visit must be in spring and autumn. Don't miss this amazing it you're in Vilnius! Very beautiful. Area is hilly - there are a lot of stairs. Great hiking place both full of nature and history from 300+ year oaks to castle hills. Also sheeps 🐑 Daug kalvotų vietų, nors takas nėra labai ilgas. Sugaišta apie 2 valandas Rekomenduoju, su vaikais ar lengvam pabėgimiui iš miesto. Tvarkingi takai ir laiptai.
