Got my SSI certificate here last year and have nothing but words for this school. Had a very experienced and instructor, the gear was good. The prices were amazing and the whole vibe at the school was amazing. You felt like you were a part of a for a short while. Zakynthos also has amazing spots and these guys do go there. Caves included. Not if, but when I’m going back to Zakynthos I will definitely add a bunch of dives to my logbook here. Before my dives this week with Nero, I had not been scuba for almost a year. The last I had, was with an instructor who forgot to change his tank in between dives and got stuck underwater with an nearly empty tank! Needless to say I was a bit rusty and needed some confidence. Nero Sport Center gave me exactly that: a knowledgeable crew, clear communication, and well maintained gear and a proper plan. Thank you Nero and thank you Heidi in particular for giving me back the vibes of being underwater! Ps. The majority of the divers I met here were German, but the crew is also very welcoming to other nationalities and speak English. An incredible family-run centre with cosy atmosphere and professionalism and safety to match. With beautiful spots, perfect for exploring caves and taking in the incredible scenery Zakynthos has to offer. Be sure to grab a Mythos & a burger after your from The Inn Restaurant! We just wanted to do a couple of dives and ended up going on almost a dozen. The staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating towards us. The equipment we rented was new and in excellent condition. The boats were in great shape as well. Since we were with our children, safety is always a great concern for us. With the Nero guys, everything felt safe for every and the captains and guides were always alert to potential hazards and gave great briefings before every to make sure everyone knows what to do and which spots to avoid. The only issue were the imbecile rental people everywhere who neither observed correct safety distances nor respected buoys. That's no fault of this center, it's a regulatory problem of Zakynthos as a whole, since they let basically everyone rent a and zip around the sea without any training. No longer applicable to us but something you should consider if you have smaller children: the base offers day care while the parents are diving. We talked to various other guests there and they were all very happy with the way their kids were being taken care of. It's a really place, including the attached restaurant/bar which offers food at okay prices. One thing to keep in mind if you don't speak German: Almost everything at the base is written and spoken in German since the owners are from Germany. But while we were there some people who only spoke English were also welcomed the same way we were (everyone at the base speaks English as well) and if you're under water you communicate in hand signs anyway ;) Great Centre and nice food next door. The people are all very and know their trade. I did a refresher and then 4 dives with Nero. The is custom built for divers and very roomy. The gear is in condition and well maintained. I highly recommend Nero! Thank you Dennis for your expertise, patience and time with our of 4, a couple and teenagers. We came over to Zante on a holiday and were referred to complete our Open Water Certification with NeroSport centre. Dennis who is German, is a great tutor with humour, gives clear instructions and communicates with us well in English. The centre has everything you need - it is a cool place and everything is clean and so well-organised regards to equipment, gear , suits etc. THere's a chic tavern next door with food, cakes and run by staff. As first-time divers in the sea , we are petrified as to what to expect but Dennis is patient and goes through all basic things we need to know to into the sea safely. Dennis is professional, and dealt well with balancing the different challenges faced by each one of us in our (ear pressure, seasickness, skin rash and bouyancy control) with basically having a time doing this recreational dive. We also enjoyed teaming up with another German on the same trip as us diving. We highly recommend everyone to with NeroSport - Dennis and his team is amazing ! Incredible experience. Completing the course and getting my open diver license was super enjoyable and fun. Everyone is so nice and welcoming, and even though I don't really know much German they were very accommodating. I was the only non-German speaker on the boats so I got my own briefing before every dive, I felt like a vip :) Tessa is an amazing instructor and guide, truly can't praise and recommend her enough. Will definitely be coming back. My daughter (11) tried with Nero Sports for the first time. Great experience!! Very thourough introduction in theory and practice and a the next day - just the two of us and a guide at a nice spot. Information per mail and organization was perfect. Staff on the spot was extremely nice, welcoming (except the Lady at the bar, who was a little rude), and competent. Renting equipent in very condition and hygenic. I can really recommend Nero Sports!
