I recently had the pleasure of going on a with Sweden Tours, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. If you're looking to explore Sweden’s fascinating beyond the typical tourist spots, this is the perfect choice. What really stood out to me was how they take you beyond Stockholm’s city center, venturing into the beautiful countryside where truly comes to life. I got to see Viking-era runestones, a reconstructed Viking bridge, medieval churches, and even royal palaces—all while surrounded by stunning Swedish nature. It’s not just the famous sites either; they also took us to some hidden gems I never would’ve found on my own. The was amazing—so and passionate about Swedish history. I learned so much, not only about historical events but also about Swedish culture and traditions. What I loved most was that the tours are themed around specific time periods, like the Viking Age or the Swedish royal legacy, so you really get a deep understanding of that era. And the best part? You can ask as many questions as you want, and they are happy to dive into all the details! Another thing I appreciated was how easy it was logistically. They offer pick-ups directly from your hotel in central Stockholm, which makes everything super convenient. Plus, driving through scenic country roads was a beautiful bonus—it felt like I was getting to see the real Sweden, far from the busy city. Overall, I can’t Sweden Tours enough. Whether you're a buff or just curious to learn more about Sweden’s past, this is an unforgettable experience. I left with a greater appreciation for Sweden’s heritage and can’t wait to join another tour! Overall the was very informative. Learned a lot about the Viking history. The weather was not the best and since most of this is outdoors we stood in the cold and rain listening, which was not enjoyable. We were not prepared or dressed appropriately. Maybe a reminder ahead of time about the change in weather leaving Stockholm. Gabriel our was great with the information. I personally absolutely loved the churches and the cemeteries. I discovered on my own that they were actually brochures at a couple of the churches that explained a little bit more about them. I wish that we had been told about those upfront and offered it. After reading through those after returning from the I found it to add value. It was nice having Gabriel as our driver because he was able to explain things as we drove along. Love that we were able to get outside of the city and see the countryside. An excellent educational day with Jakob! Just finished a full day with Swedish tours. It was very interesting and informative day and we got to see a number of different sites, including Viking runestones and places where the Vikings gathered as well as burial mounds predating the Vikings. Jakob was an excellent and it was a great day. We did the full day viking to include viking history, Sigtuna and Uppsala. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. It was great seeing some Swedish countryside as well as the stops included in the itinerary. As it was a private tour, we were also able to add in a visit to Drottingham Palace. Our driver and for the day was the amazing Calle. He was very knowledgeable, entertaining and friendly (he also did our boat the day before). Would definitely Swedish Tours especially if Calle is the guide. Not only was our driver, Natalie, amazing, but so too was our Karin. Both women were personable, enthusiastic and so very gracious. Natalie’s driving was safe and she too offered so much insight into the of Sweden. Then, Karin, was a wealth of information about Uppsala. The entire day was fabulous from start to finish! We had a very enjoyable half day Viking which incorporated visiting a former Viking farm, a causeway, a meeting place and Sigtura. Along the way we were introduced to runes that had helped to identify these places and learnt about the people that lived there. There were only four of us on the tour, so whilst it was a public tour, it felt very personal and our Olof, was very accommodating. For example, we chose not to stop for lunch so that we maximised our time in Sigtura. I would thoroughly this tour. I had contemplated the 8 hour and part of me wished that I had chosen the longer tour, but I think this was actually a better choice as I ended wanting more. Whilst we were driving around, Olof also chatted a lot about Sweden in general and it was lovely to have those conversations with him. He also recommended we take the boat trip from Stockholm to Drottningholm Palace which we did the next day and enjoyed enormously. We did the Viking with Olof and he was amazing. We were able to see all the sights and even saw some more sights (because there was no traffic). He was very and offered us lots of information. I would totally him and the company again. The company was very responsive to my emails and questions. Jonathan and Helene are the absolute best. Helene picked us up right from the hotel in a Volvo SUV and while technically our driver, she was super about Stockholm (makes sense, she is a certified guide). We picked up Jonathon our for the day and we didn’t stop hearing awesome stories about all parts of Swedish history. I know it’s tempting to do the Viking only tour, but I would highly this one instead. We got our fill of Viking plus broader Swedish like the regicide of Gustav III. Jonathan was a wealth of information and a very good story teller. Bring some snacks with you, they offered us lunch but we really just wanted to power through to hit as many sites as possible. We visited three churches and a farm with Icelandic horses. Plenty of runes along the way and the owner of the farm actually came out and toured us around (cannot guarantee this happens on every tour). Best part is that you basically tell Jonathan what you want to see and he will curate the trip for you. The five hours flew by, and it was nice to get into the countryside. Highly for anyone interested in and some beautiful scenery. Our was Erik for a through historic towns in Sweden - including Sigtuna and Uppsala. He was incredibly and had detailed information about the of the Vikings while entertaining any questions that we may have had. I highly Sweden Tours and hopefully you are lucky enough to have Erik guiding you. Olaf met us at our cruise ship, handled our bags, took us on a Viking 30 minutes outside Stockholm, then dropped us at our hotel. The was informative and interesting. Olaf is about the of the area. We saw rune stones, visited a small church with a rich in Taby, and hiked a short distance to Lake Vallentuna. This was off the beaten path, places we would never have found on our own. We highly Sweden Tours.
