Perfect walk around the lake 6k with tons of birds to watch A spontaneous trip to the nature reserve this morning as the weather forecast seems to show good weather. I'd recommend to park at the parking lot at Örsta because it is fairly close to the lake. We went to the other parking lot at Olhamra at first, and we realised it is a few km away from the main lake and viewing points and it might take an hour or two before you arrive there, so if you're not up for a long trek then park at Örsta. The area is windy and can be cold as it's an open field. So pls wear windproof thick jacket. It was 8°c today and I had a down jacket with 2 layers of sweather underneath so it was enough to protect me from the wind and cold. Pls also wear good shoes with sole support as the path can be a little "stoney" to walk. The is worth it and amazing, sound of birds and ducks and going up the viewing points is a MUST! Be careful with your steps when coming down the stairs. Good to bring some snacks, sandwich or cookies and some warm coffee to compliment your rest time while looking at the scenic view. I'll probably get a binocular next time, because the birds are shy and hiding in the bushes most of the time. Nice outdoor nature view, lot of ducks and swans, worth visiting early morning. Jättefin fågelsjö med fin natur runt omkring. Perfect place for 2h walk with small lunch. There are a few parking space around the park. It's worth to take binoculars for a better (lot of birds keep distance from the footpath). Leuke plek voor koffiepauze, vogelreservaat, leuke wandeling. Toilet aanwezig. Great walk! Nature at its best. Did it with two children. And they didn't complain. Very nice hike or walk There is a very nice cafe also for a fika And the is exceptional Very nice idea for a romantic date and there is a nice pier Ormvråk över Angarnsjön Lugnt, fridfullt och energigivande. Finns olika platser runt sjön, på andra sidan mot fågeltornet. Fina utflyktsmål, med filt och kaffe. Ganska skräpigt i skogen även om den bitvis är ganska fin, dock har jag inte utforskat hela området A beautiful place! The circular trail around the lake is around 6.7km. You can observe lots of different bird species here. Some historical landmarks (stone carvings, runestones) can be found along the way. Super cool place to go to if you're in that area visiting friends. They have a viking stone nearby that's old. The lake/wetland has great wildlife and the paths are all well maintained. The nature reserve is a quiet haven for birds and is surrounded by farmland with horses and cows. It offers easy walks to various lookout points to wildlife and a large granite cliff provides a vantage point to admire the marshland and open fields. Lovely, very natural 'Nordic savannah-landscape' (though good to have your binoculars between Apr - Sept as you are not allowed to go so close to bird hatching area.) Good path even with children but no baby trolley.
