Rooms are pretty basic compared to some of the nicer huts but the hospitality you’ll get here will exceed all others. The hosts here are the warmest Slovenians I’ve met. Arrived in the middle of the day and they gave advice about the trail and helped to offer solutions as some parts of the trail was washed out. It was wet and rainy as it’s end of season but they welcomed me with shots to warm up and amazing food. The fried pork ribs was amazing, so was the mashed potatoes with caramelised onions made from scratch. It was cooked by the sweetest girl (whom I forgot to ask the name of) and warmed up my tummy for the hike ahead. Such a nice stay during our bike tour around the Julian Alps. Good food and a very comfortable room in a newer building. Rok was so friendly and immediately made us feel at home. A true homie! After 10hrs hiking we arrived here to meet Rok to check us in. Rok is an absolute legend. He made us feel as if we were friends for ten years. He got us settled in and made our stay here one of the favorites of our 5 day trek. We wish we were staying another night just to drink some beers with Rok. The grounds are also quite beautiful and we had a delicious gnocchi before our big hike in the morning which was conveniently located right next to the restaurant. Stayed here for one night in September in a dorm- basic accommodation (mattresses on floors), came at a quiet time of year (end of season and wet weather) so didn’t feel crowded or hectic. The hosts (new management) were exceptionally welcoming, the dining room was cozy with a fireplace and allowed us to dry our wet gear in front of it. The food (beef goulash and Štruklji) was probably the best food I ate throughout my entire trip. Probably my favourite hut of the trip. The place has new managers since may this year and they are super friendly with great hospitality, working hard to improve the place, with good result. Gave us some good tips for the surroundings and our ongoing journey. We had a double room with dinner and breakfast, the food came quick and was very tasty, recommended to take the full board! Good place to have your hike to the lake or the top of Krn. Recommended for a relaxed welcoming stay in the Soça Valley :) I stayed one night as part of planned hiking tour. The hut/hotel is very welcoming. Accomodastion was excellent including fresh, clean bed linens and comfortable bed. The food was terrific and very welcome after a long hike in the mountains. The hosts were very pleasant and accomodating to the needs of their guests. I would stay again! Rok was very friendly, even if we only paused with a beer.
