Dunmore East is the place Beautiful with amazing views. Very popular when the sun is out. Shame about the lifeguard hut made out of a shipping container that has been dumped outside the quaint thatched cottages! in a small town surrounded by cliffs but with high tides (be careful). Few pubs/ restaurants in the area. The only minus is a lot of people in the summer time. Lovely for a swim. Sand always wet so don't put towel down even when looks dry. Sun gone from here from roughly four onwards. Toilets nearby. And lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Can get a coffee nearby also. No when the tide is in so be careful of that. Not a huge northern Europe fan, that said it doesn't get much better than this, very family friendly. This is one off the best beaches near wayerford that i have found at the moment Such a beautiful day. It was great to be here. Beautiful Irish seafront. This is an ok beach. It's a bit small, but it never got crowded like Kilkee when I was there last. Lovely small cove... On a sunny day draws a pleasant mixed group of swimmers plus kids making sand castles and pools. Very nice pub "The Strand" overlooking the cove serving nice grub at reasonable prices. Great to have staff that don't hassle you to move on once you have finished your food. A very nice time spent with family, with the extra joy of people watching enjoying the beach. The most popular in Dunmore which can lead to it becoming crowded at times however it is popular for a reason. It is the largest here so there is adequate space for everyone. It is sandy rather than rocky and it is located in an area with very safe water and lifeguards are on duty often. Dunmore East is gorgeous. Beautiful beach, stunning cliff views and a lovely town, bereft of the usual touristy crap but with lovely food, great pubs and stunning thatched cottages.
