Stopped in for lunch after a walk on the beach. They welcomed the dog which is a big bonus. Service was warm. We had and it was delicious as was the brown soda bread. Definitely will return for more tasty food. Steak Sandwich & service 🙂 Beautiful Food at The Engine Hut, Bunmahon. I had Lamb Stew and it was beautiful (so tasty and the lamb was tender). My son had the kids portion of Roast Beef and really enjoyed it ( an empty plate is always a good sign). Very reasonably priced for the quantity & quality of food given. Nice relaxing vibe, and the were very pleasant. Thank you ( see you soon again). Went to Engine House today with my 11yr old son. While it was fairly busy when we got there the couldn't of been more helpful and friendly. We were given a table and we're quickly looked after, drinks order taken and then the menu arrived. The server was the most pleasant and girl I have encountered in a pub restaurant for a long time. Food arrived and quality was excellent and price wise very reasonable. My son has already asked when we are going again so this place certainly has his seal of approval!! See you soon! Fantastic food!! We had the roast pork and the curry - huge portions and quality!!! A nice restaurant just two steps from the beach. It was a pretty busy evening, so we had to flag our server down a bit more than we'd have liked. However, their seafood served with Guinness and treacle bread was the most delicious I've had. Fabulous flavoured yellow thai curry and large portions of in the seafood chowder. 10/10. Warm welcome, nice background music too. What an amazing Restaurant/ Bar / Venue just off the beach at Bunmahon . We had amazing Seafood Cowder . A must stop if you are travelling The Copper Coast in Co Waterford. We arrived late and food was finished, however the head chef Mags went out of her way to give us dinner which was delicious. We really appreciated it, beef was fabulous! I was out on the copper coast and the engine house was recommended. It didn’t disappoint staff, very accommodating and probably the best steak ciabatta sandwich I’ve had out. What an amazing hidden gem in Ireland. This family owned pub was outstanding. The staff(family) couldn’t have been more welcoming, and the pub was just steps away from some breathtaking sights of the Copper Coast. Engine house is a must stop if you’re traveling through. They even let my friends pull a proper Guinness, their first ever! It was truly the highlight of our time in Ireland! We had a wonderful dinner here. The breaded hake was excellent, and the kids absolutely loved their and chips and goujons. The fact that ice cream comes included with the kids' meals is a brilliant touch and a huge win for parents. quality and fantastic value. Highly recommended! We Had our Daughter’s Christening here, it is such a lovely pub, but we had a not so good experience as when we booked the Christening for finger food for 60 people we were informed that a basket would do 2 people, unfortunately one basket contained a handful of chips, a few cocktail sausages and 3 chicken goujons it was such a small portion of food, when management was approached on the subject they were not very helpful. Unfortunately people went without food. Which is not when you’re paying 400 euro with a guarantee there would be “more than enough food. We were also approached by management in an unfriendly way about music we had arranged. Fantastic food! We had the seafood and Thai curry - both were delicious, excellent quality. Plenty of in the chowder. Load of options. Will definitely be back! Fantastic underrated spot in Bonmahon. We had been here a couple of summers ago and the food was very disappointing but it seems to be under new ownership and a huge improvement. No complaints but wouldn’t order the again, very sweet for my taste with the amount of shredded carrots, no “seafood”, ie: shellfish, 2-3 very large pieces of and no potatoes. Will try soup instead next time. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The soup I ordered was burnt and had a terrible smell. I complained to the waitress and even left the soup full, but she didn’t say anything or take any action. On top of that, we weren’t given enough cutlery for our dishes, and every time we asked for something that was missing, the reacted with visible annoyance. Overall, the service was terrible, and the food was awful. I will not be returning. Another meal at the engine house. Delicious roast beef, the tastiest gravy, mash and veg I've had. Finished with a very berry and apple crumble. Fabulous I ordered the and chips, which cost 17 euros, expecting a decent portion for the price. Instead, I was served an extremely small portion that was nowhere near worth the cost. Amazing food, amazing service amazing atmosphere and live music is fab! Great for families, groups or on your own, Need to watch the match? No problem this is the place to go. Will definitely be back! Spent a fabulous couple of days in Bunmahon, we stayed in the Surf Cottage attached to the Engine House and owned by them. The cottage was lovely, and a location for the beach, going surfing, being so close to get warmed up in early spring was a game changer, we had our toddler with us, and bening able to enjoy the beach, playground and everything about, yet get him back and warmed up was great. The cottage is warm, comfy beds and a lovely place to stay. We ate in the Engine house, again, they were for the little man, with Child seats and the were incredibly nice to deal with. The food was fabulous, can recommend the smash burger and & chips. The atmosphere was and we were comfortable with having the little guy with us, and other families were their too. The owners were lovely, accommodating and very friendly. I will absolutely be going there again. We went in for dinner Saturday night. Absolutely faultless. I had the goats cheese and beetroot salad, my husband had the chicken wings with bbq sauce and we both had the pan fried hake for mains. The food was delicious and a.nice cosy atmosphere and very and attentive staff. We will definitely be back Big thank you for today, with being such a big group of us, it was no easy job for ye,the food was on point, such and well able for the banter! We will be back. Thanks so much. Rock Marshals MCC Lovely locally owned pub. We were visiting from the US and met the owners. Such nice people! A must stop when you are visiting the copper coast! Excellent pints of Guinness, If not the best in all of Ireland!
