I hiked this on a foggy Sunday August morning, saw a few other people otherwise it was very quiet walking with the sheep. There are sheep droppings everywhere, I dont advise wearing nice shoes. The is relatively flat and for all ages, I saw a few kids on my way back. There is no charge to here and is free, be aware the road leading up to the lot is very narrow only allowing 1 vehicle in places. Drive slow and you will be okay. Me and my wife visited Mahon on a weekend. It was peaceful with hardly any crowd. The drive itself was scenic. Rolling hills and the full beauty of the Comeragh Mountains all along the route. There's a dedicated area, and from there, it’s a short to reach the falls. The path is to follow and suitable for all age groups. The is worth it. You're rewarded with stunning and a refreshing atmosphere. A great spot for a calm and spending time in nature. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors near Clonmel. Fantastic spot for a picnic on a sunny day and the hills are spectacular! The were beautiful to see, with an easy, paved pathway that’s about a 15-20 minute walk. There’s ample parking, although the area can get quite busy. We went as we were staying in the area for a week. It was a clear and cold January day but we enjoyed the views. While visiting Waterford this was on the county's bucket list and it didn't disappoint. It was great weather the day we went. It was heavy rainfall overnight but sun was shining in the day so the landscape was saturated with colours and the was flowing heavily. Great up through the waterfalls and across the ridge back to car .. There is 2 waterfalls where you can swim .. we swam in both .. we went across the ridge to come back down as we had children with us and to risky to come down waterfalls Greats from the top Lovely to the falls. We stayed overnight in the carpark with our campervan, there were a few others there, they have picnic tables but no bins unfortunately. Don miss the Magic road just a the entrance of the park.
