The grass area between carpark and river relatively flat which you can sit and relax and enjoy the sounds of the flowing/ rushing river . The that is on the bank going downstream, the further you go the better photo opportunity's you are able to take. This isn't ideal for the less mobile and some parts a very close to the edge. Just one of many stops you can make while travelling around Scotland to enjoy a few minutes to stretch the legs or enjoy a while with a picnic. Enjoy! Wow! Just absolutely stunning. I stopped here while out on a cycle on a beautiful sunny day. There’s car parking off the road and a nice green area with picnic benches which lots of families were taking advantage of (as well as a bbq and dip in the river!) The along to the is fairly flat and should be easy to navigate for most. Arriving at the falls, you do have to scrabble down a bit to get a good and that might not be to everyone’s preference or ability. Incredibly impressive though and pictures don’t do it justice at all. I’ve since learned from reading other reviews you can continue further along the for an even better so will definitely try that next time! If you are able, keep on walking after the rock (waterfall) viewpoint, to get a better panoramic of the place itself. It's a very relaxing and peaceful area. Highly recommended. The adventure to the is a short and Toby has to say, he was very impressed. The sound of the water crashing down from the cliff was exciting, and the was massive, even from down here on four legs. The best part? All the muddy puddles on the way. Pure perfection. They were deep, squelchy, and ideal for a quick paw‑dive or an energetic splash. The humans might not agree, but that’s their problem. The viewing spot for the was very high, and Toby liked looking down and surveying the scene like a tiny lord of the land. What Toby didn’t like was being picked up for a photo. Apparently, Toby had to be “held just right” for the picture, which was absolutely not in Toby’s itinerary for the day. Not amused. Then came the talk of a long hike beyond the waterfall. Let it be said clearly: the itself was brilliant, the puddles were top‑tier, and the cliff edge was worth a sniff. But after that? Toby had absolutely no interest. Sometimes a dog just knows when enough is enough. This was one of those days. Whatever lay further down the trail could wait for another time — or another dog. In the end, it was a great outing for a dog who knows how to pick the best bits: water, mud, and a worth barking about. As for the long hike… maybe next time, if Toby is feeling more adventurous (and less in the mood for a well‑earned nap). Stunning hidden gem in Perthshire with a powerful and dramatic gorge views. Beautiful scenery of surrounding hills and arable land, it’s an area renowned for berry growing and it was nice to see the bulb fields too (mostly daffodils I believe). We parked in the small car park and began the to the and large gorge. It was truly breathtaking. Powerful and very steep. Along the there were many vantage points to get a look into the gorge/falls. The was winding upwards but the incline very gradual and not at all steep. It was a bit scary seeing the drop with no barriers/fences. I would be cautious in bringing young children due to that. There were lots of warnings on the and at the beginning regarding safety. A very beautiful place. I can recommend Peel Farm just up the road, less than a mile away if you need a lunch/hot drink etc. lovely place, great to round and see the animals including goats, deer, donkeys & pigs. The are a short away from the car park, but although the is well worn, it's narrow in places and the cliff drop off is very steep. Not good for young children and hyper dogs - Keep both on a leash for safety. The views of the are lovely. It's a pity there isn't someplace to sit to enjoy the view. Keeping them close/holding hands, is essential due to the very high drops only feet from the path. Similarly dogs must be kept on lead at all times.
