A pleasant enough park though nothing particularly special in the grand scheme of things. The circular around the Loch is flat and consists of a good quality path that is suitable for most large pushchairs. Dog walkers and joggers stand to gain the most from this place (there are three outdoors gyms around it's perimeter) and seem to make up the majority of its visitors. Fantastic area with a great park and of course the Loch Fantastic place to spend time with a family Many dog walkers. No shops or places to buy food so take your own. Nice place for a quiet stroll or a couple of hours with the kids. There's a playground, public loos and and the track around the loch is mostly tarmac'd and all flat so its accessible for those less able, too. I use it to run (if you can call it that) because its nice scenery and an easy route. It would get the extra star if there was somewhere you could get a drink, even if it was just somewhere to fill a water bottle. Beautiful around the loch, all flat walking. The country park is stunning too, large expanses of grass for exercising dogs, kids playing, picnics etc... Not alot of parking spaces but can use roads nearby Loads of wide open space for the dog to roam. Nice loch and things for kids to play on. Lovely long around the loch. It's around five miles but flat and good surface for buggies. Plenty of seats spread around when you need a break. Swans and ducks near the caravan site by the sports centre. Nice circular with plenty wildlife to snap some photos of Easy of 2.5 miles around the loch. Some informational boards, some exercise areas. Kids play park at the entrance. A wonderful place to walk, especially in the rain as the atmosphere is everything. I enjoyed a few hours here with my 2 labradors today.
