Great right in the heart of Castelo Branco. It is well maintained. It's not huge, but still big enough for a walk or dog walking. There are several pretty fountains, a playground, toilets and a bar. The view to the castle is quite beautiful from here, specially at night with all the lights on. Highly recommended. What a lovely place...!! Lovely big . features Playground for the little ones. It is well mainained and there is a cafe which is not very clean and toilets which are also not very clean. Prices in the cafe are above average. Marvelous 🏞️ This place is where the locals come to amuse themselves. It never seems to get mentioned in the guides, and I think most people believe it to be part of the castle gardens that you have to pay to get into. But this place is free to everyone. The itself is a good size with plenty of places to sit down and do a bit of people watching. There seems to be a bit of an obsession with features here, I counted 7 different places where was either gushing, spurting or just lapping about. There is a children's jungle gym type of thing tucked away at one side fairly close to the obligatory Café, which is next to the mandatory feature about halfway down the park. If you venture past the Café, you come to a wooded area where there are picnic benches and more features. Oftentimes the locals come here for kids' birthdays and the like. Generally, the place is peaceful and clean. I often see work crews here maintaining the flower beds and grass. If you want a free garden to come and sit in among the locals and away from the tourists, this is the place to be.
