Lovely views with a trig at the top of the stairs by the car park. You can for free if you're a National trust member, we were also lucky enough to get an ice as the van was in his parking space. Should be on everyone’s to-do list.. free carpark and great 20/30min to a stunning view… well worth it Love it here! Visited today and enjoyed a wonderful walk, picnic & ice 🍦 ….bit of a let down was the parking app 😣 which didn’t work so we had to drive two miles out & up in the street & back… Not sure about all these apps, it frustrates us because it really inhibits older people who also want to enjoy these locations but perhaps can’t use smart phones in the same way as younger visitors. We are only in our 40s and we couldn’t get the app to work 🤪 Despite this….we would highly recommend a visit here. Pack your rucksack & enjoy a good hike, plenty of space to explore and enjoy wonderful views. Grassy tracks, benches, coves. Plethora of wildlife, get for twitchers…we loved hearing the skylarks. The ice 🍦 van was a welcome relief on a warm day…£3 & was deeee…lish! Sand point is fantastic. The only downside being the national trust own the car and have turned it into an mobile phone app only purchasing experience. So only go if you have a smart phone, are able to download the app whilst you're there and are confident navigating the technology. Really beautiful with church family, we had a great day finished with teas... Really beautiful spot and a lovely with amazing views. Free parking for NT members. Shame there is no toilet, also the arrows have been taken off all the signs throughout so once you leave the one map in the car it's tricky to find your way around A shame the car app didn't recognise my dad's national trust member number (will await the parking fine) otherwise a well kept carpark, the itself was good - a nice challenge whilst my 4.5 month old was in the baby carrier - she even fell asleep! Would definitely come again as it's so close to home We had a lovely along the beach. We parked in the far car (National Trust) which you pay by app and it was £5 for yhe while day (regardless of which it is). The tide was out and it was a hot sunny August day, perfect for the a with my two little granddaughters (3 and 6). We walked along the beach to the car with a bus stop and ice kiosk. We ate are picnic and them bought a lovely ice and walked back along the beach to build. Sandcastles.
