Bit of a hidden gem, particularly on a warm summer’s day. Green entry to grounds and house. The grounds are beautiful a lots of paths to explore, bandstand, ‘grotto’, ice-house and so much more. All well kept but in a very natural way. The only exception to this is the pond which was sad to see - completely stagnant yet wouldn’t take much to sort out. The house itself has a really interesting history, although won’t take you long to get around. Didn’t try the cafe but have heard very good things. Main reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is the less than friendly welcome at the reception area. Great place to visit Great park, definitely would go there again! Great trees, plants and sculptures. Not been in the house because of Covid. We couldn't park near the park, (only for disabled parking facilities) Had coffee, cake and sandwiches, which were lovely. Went today with my friend for a pot of tea. The weather was lovely so we sat outside in the gardens. It is a wonderful place with wonderful gardens.( I went for a wonder in my electric Wheelchair) Very family friendly and if you love Cream teas they do lovely ones here. BEDWELLTY HOUSE IS VERY WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY TOO. What a beautiful place. Steeped in life changing history. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Food was great. Thoroughly recommended for a visit. Local 'tourist' from only a few miles away (a Swansea lad). Nice gardens overall; reasonably well maintained. The ponds were not though - caked with algae and clearly haven't had any attention for years. Even the three ducks I saw looked sad. With that said, everything else looked fine - and it was a relaxing hour or so walk across the whole of the site. Plenty of photos taken which I will cherish. Apart from the pond photos of course, which I will probably delete. The grounds and cafe are lovely but there is nothing to see in the house. Bedwellty is amazing! I love everything about it. The Park is lovely and very well kept. The house is very nice and the café is great. It's a great place to have a nice walk then cake and coffee. 🥰 The staff are very friendly and an added bonus is the tennis courts! 🎾👍 Beautiful place I took my grandchildren for Louby Loos story time in the grounds well worth a visit and lunch in the coffee shop. Lovely home cooked meal, reasonably priced and servers were good too. With definitely go back for afternoon tea I've known this park for a very long time went there when I was a child it's a great place to visit with family friends or just a walk with your dog load's of interest and history for the children to learn the café shop very busy and a bit pricey but it's for the upkeep of the park We celebrated a special birthday with afternoon tea (one guest was gluten free) and the whole experience was amazing. Sorry no pictures as we all couldn’t wait to eat the beautifully presented food which tasted as good as it looked. From the welcome and singing of happy birthday to the last drop of coffee this is an experience to rival any afternoon tea I’ve had anywhere.
