Starting with grilled Scallops, which were and then following with very tasty Octopus salad, Tuna tartare and Sea Bream carpaccio. For main, we took a Sea Bass and John Dorry. Both owen griled on the bed of potatoes and cherry tomatoes. Sea Bass was however John Dorry was a bit dry for my taste. Few glasses of wine - good Malvazija throughout the dinner and a glass of Črna Rebula for a start. All in all, great but a bit on a high price side. I was searching for something extra special to do for my husband’s birthday, and this incredible place came to the rescue like a miracle. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Not only the owner and staff had welcomed us with the most caring hospitality, but the food was also absolutely outstanding. It’s all seafood, which was perfect for us. They do a wonderful job pairing every dish with the local wines, whose producers they’re personally familiar with. The quality of all the ingredients is top notch. All natural, mostly local, whenever possible, fresh, and delicious. If you get a chance to visit the kitchen, you will be amazed by the cleanness of it. It is sparkling clean, without exaggeration. Normally, I'm not a fan of fish, but Tabor's dishes were exceptional. My husband, a seafood lover, and I both agreed that it was the best dining we've ever had. We tried their 5-course tasting menu (make sure to book in advance!), and each dish was better than the last; making it hard to choose what was our favourite. The ingredients were super fresh, and the chef's creativity made every bite feel like heaven. A highlight of our was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Our waiter took incredible care of us, always ready to explain any questions we had and suggesting wonderful wine pairings.
