Part of the massive underground system built by Third Reich in the Lower Silesia Mountains, well preserved and now accessible. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff and guides. Just opposite the entrance you can find a book store with plenty of books, maps, gifts etc. The "Arado project" is the most modern underground complex in Poland. Innovative illumination lights, audio effects and a that takes the role of an agent of the Polish intelligence and leads the group to get German secrets – are just some of the attractions that await tourists in Kamienna Góra. The underground hides unique exhibits – elements of the V-1 missile and V-2 rocket, a German radar, and even the German enigma. Kamienna Góra is located in Lower Silesia, halfway between Wałbrzych and Jelenia Góra. During World War II, this mysterious town was riddled with underground complexes like Swiss cheese with holes. Today, we know about ten underground facilities located in various parts of the town. They were dug by the Germans (or rather forced labourers) to house the design offices and factories producing aerial structures and weapons. At that time, Kamienna Góra was one of the centres of German aerial technology - the former textile factories housed, inter alia, the design office of ARADO company, which constructed the most famous jet of World War II - Arado 234 Lightning and the mythical airplane Arado 555. Mr Maciej-tour is a great ambassador for Arado's project with his knowledge of its history. He was knowledgable, stopped at some very special places on the journey and all the stops were interesting. You will see more in my gallery-31 pictures from my visit. Full recommendation! The place is interesting itself, but the tour was in Polish only, and there was even no brochure in English. Amazing Bartosz, knows interesting details about this place, more - it is not only his job, he really loves what he is doing and we felt it! Amazing place. Reccomend this place. Also it would be really good for visitors to leave some tips for the guides at the end, because they improve this place with those money In June 2024 I had the opportunity to visit the Museo Project Arado. Not only did I like it very much, but in this comment I want to highlight the excellence of the staff that serves the visitors, for their education and extensive knowledge of the subject that the museum deals with. Also, while I was buying the ticket, one of the volunteer employees of the museum, upon learning that I was a War Veteran of the Argentine Air Force (because of the cap I was wearing that had that legend) had the courtesy to attend to me preferentially and I made the visit with the of BARTOSZ MICHAŁOWSKI, this young "soldier" guided me through the different tunnels while he was telling me in great detail (in very good English) the events that occurred 80 years ago, denoting a great knowledge of the subject. With his performance BARTOSZ has raised the level of this museum even more. Thank you BARTOSZ MICHAŁOWSKI I was very impressed by your excellent work. While I don't usually go to such places, I really enjoyed the expierience. Julia was amazing at explaining everything and keeping a good atmosphere. Everyone that is interested in history of world war II should definitly check this place out. Great vibe!! I was chosen a couple of times and was given a wrench, our Piotrek was really nice and kept our trip fun, and when i get a chance, I'll definitely visit again!! Amazing place, interesting to visit. Time flew by so quickly you don't even notice. Huge thanks to our Amelia, she was one of the best guides on our vacation. Guaranteed 10/10 experience when it comes to storytelling. Would revisit again in the future. The tour was more about rusty weapons with unnecessary theater and questionable jokes than actual history of the place. Not worth the price.
