Harmonia Mundi is a bed & breakfast place located beautifully up on a hillside above Vlaha close to Cluj-Napoca. The floor heating definitely adds to feeling comfortable in the room. We requested an additional bed for our 10 year old daughter. She managed to sleep on the foldable sofa, because she is slim; for an adult it would not be possible to sleep on it because the wooden construction in the middle of the sofa forces you to stay directly on the wooden edge. I allowed myself to do some maintenance work: the toilet paper stand was about to fall apart. For months the screws of the stand were not fixed; the same applied to the window handle. Loosen screws, which were about to fall off any moment. Unfortunately maintenance is not very popular in Romania. But whe the price for the room is that high, then it becomes an issue. Luckily our bed did not collapse, but see for yourself in the picture of the main bed support... Btw, the main bed does not have a proper slated frame, just solid wooden panels. Not exactly the standard at this price level. Our daughter experienced another encounter of a special kind: the cereal kringles were invested with food moths! Next to the flying creatures one could see the larvas crawling in the jar... In case you have a heavy luggage, be prepared to carry it up to the entrance, because the path does not allow to pull it up because it is about to slide down the steep slope slowly. When we were about to leave, we got an instant reminder, that we have to pay. The € 245 for two nights are not worth it. Especially service and maintenance have to be improved for this amount of money. As mentioned above, many locations like Harmonia Mundi lack the understanding of the operator, that customer service and maintenance are most important to justify high prices. Recommended to travellers who don't care about the above mentioned issues and money. At least the view from the breakfast room is beautiful...😏 I loved location because I know Cluj area and surrounding villages, but it is not easy to reach Cluj from there, if driving personal car is perfect. Rooms are nice, clean, breakfast was tasty and good options available. Loved the Location. The way to the hotel is also very Cool to drive up in the night. The room was clean and well heated in October. The drive to the city was also very simple from there. The design around the reception and the breakfast area is also very pretty We have been here at a private party. The atmosphere was amazing. Traditional romanian food very good. Our hosts were happy to have us and eager to help us with whatever we needed. We strayed there over the night. The rooms were neat and clean and the breakfast right on point. The view was just breathtaking. I recommend this place! They really are proffesionals! The best experience i ever had. If you want to enjoy the silence, relax and recharge, this is the place. Beds a very comfortable, food is amazing. What ever you do, use the pool (ciubăr) in the back and the sauna, they are amazing. Good cell reception and wifi if you need it, but let's remember, you are here to disconnect 😉. Will be coming here again. Thank you !
