Absolutely outstanding and comprehensive museum. Terrific film about Klimt in the theatre. This is a lovely walking place by the Attersea lake close to the klimt Restaurant which serves excellent food. It has a large open air area next to the ATTERSEA lake, under a massive 10 x10 electronic folding umbrella. Nice little museum about Klimt and stay and influence of Attersee area. Great place to hang out ! There’s a nice exhibition but mainly about Klimt’s life. There are not so many original Klimt art pieces as I’ve expected but it’s very interesting and beautiful! Overall it was worth seeing it. Disappointing, small exhibition Isn’t worth a visit. No real art by Klimt, just some pictures of his art printed on stickers and plastered on the walls, plus one reproduction. Don’t waste your time and money This is a fantastic place to get informed about the history of Austrian painter and artist Gustav Klimt, focusing on his life-period spent at lake Attersee. The space is well-designed and displays original works, together with detailed and structured informations on local life at Klimt's time. The temporary exhibit currently shows original drawings by Gustav Klimt as well as works by his contemporary, Franz von Zülow. Another contemporary local artist Heinz Kasper, has contributed a video installation. Highly recommend a visit to anyone interested in the arts and culture with a focus on this region.
