Some beautiful walks in Ballyseedy woods. You can several kilometers around all the various routes on the forest. There are little stones with affirmations painted on them which are really nice. There are streams, plenty of birds singing in the trees. A very pleasant place for a and right beside Ballygarry Hotel. Brilliant and easy well signposted trails good parking A wonderful in the months of June and July, when nature is at its greenest, in full bloom with each stalk and branch vying for prime position to grab those essential rays of summer sunlight. The ruins contained within Ballyseedy elevate an already enchanted experience. Great 🚶🏻‍♀️Amazing area for a Sunday stroll but one down fall no nice area to have a picnic , no picnic tables or chairs , can’t bring a blanket to sit on because the field has a lot of thorns and nettles ☹️ other wise than that it’s a great place 👍🏻 Dogs can adventure around and it’s not a very busy place 👍🏻 Lovely place got lost for a while as the sign post for the Northern car park were pretty sparce Lovely little with a couple of 1.5 km trails, a river and remains of an original Ballyseedy house from the 18th century. Nice oak, beech, birch, etc trees. Mushrooms growing aplenty at Ballyseedy these days. Found these growing on a rotten tree trunk. They started out looking like pegs and then became more 'mushroom' like. I know nothing about whether they are edible or not. It's small bit fine for a walk. Could be made bigger if the council bought some of tue surrounding land Lovely wooded walks for leisurely stroll with a number of different paths to take. Accessible from two different entrances. Ideal for children. Fabulous woods, in all seasons and weather..dog friendly and popular.. it is possible to get lost if you leave the path 😉 Nice very quite when we were there but that was perfect Beautiful with many walking paths, birds always in full song 💝 Lovely place to Lovely short walks through woodland just outside Tralee. Suitable for young families with buggies. Parking available. Lovely walk. Well kept. Very clean The from Ballygary Hotel was stunning. As you can see in the photos the trail is well looked after and signposted with epic scenery and points of interest. The itself has an ancient feel to it, its wild and intimate. Give yourself around 3 to 4 hours to enjoy this amazing part of the world. A beautiful but confusing place to the dogs. I've only been twice and each time I've walked in circles trying to get back to the carpark. Still, it's a lovely 🙂 Beautiful place for a walk, lovely wildlife to be seen.
