There always good atmosphere in Tom McCarthys Bar in Castleisland its family run bar, its was very busy today Kerry were playing Tyrone All Ireland Football Simi Final, and great kerry victory over tyrone today, roll on all ireland football final 2 weeks time there also fine big beer garden out back.. ideal for birthday hen and stag parties...... Very well ran establishment. Good pint. Nice atmosphere Lovely friendly local bar. I visited this spot back in 1980 when Paddy Hussy (?) was the proprietor. I was “looking for my heritage” while staying at the Crowne Hotel. Paddy refused to let me pay for a thing! ❤️‍🩹 Kid friendly. Lovely atmosphere. We felt very welcome. Lovely pint, lovely people both sides of the bar!
