This place is absolutely amazing. They staff is extremely proud of what they do and they will educate you on it. We had so much fun. I truly enjoyed hanging out with the dogs. Fantastic experience in a ruggedly gorgeous location. This was the highlight of my trip to Ireland, being a lover of the border collie breed. The were amazing and the staff were friendly and efficient. Highly recommend. We stopped here on a whim & I’m very glad we did. My kids loved the sheepdog herding & shearing demonstrations. It was really cool to see the in action & hear about how they train the & herd the sheep. This is a family run farm, so a smaller operation. They only do the shearing demonstrations in the summer between June & September so we got lucky. It’s very affordable. One of the most outstanding experiences during 2 weeks in Ireland! Our host provided a riveting description of daily life as a 6th generation farmer, and the integral role play in this craggy, mountainous region. Spectacular dog demonstration and explanation of their breeding and training. All questions answered, often with (suitable) humour. HIGHLY recommended! What a lovely experience! The were amazing and our host was kind and knowledgeable. Glad we could stop and visit the farm, learn more about shearing and see the working. Being able to purchase a few related things was a bonus! Great experience!! Staff answered all of our questions and the dog and show was amazing!! Watching the work is impressive. The back story on how they are raised and trained is equally so.
