The only weak point for this is the location, a bit difficult to reach, but worth you to drive here to enjoy a meal. The best we have so far. Family owned with ingredients so that they change the menu everyday. Every dish is well prepared and flavourful. Immediately upon arrival, a friendly welcome on the covered terrace. For a starter we decided on small prawns, with pine nuts, arugula and balsamic vinegar. Delicious and a suitable portion size. Next came the risotto for two with seafood. Just cooked 'al dente', very tasty. It was accompanied by a glass of Pristna - malvasia Pucer, which 'married' well with the risotto. The pastry cream was almost superfluous after such good dishes. The price was, considering the quality of the food and service, just ok. Joži and Miha are excellent hosts. We could see which guest trust them by looking on the fleet of vehicles in the parking lot. Firstly I'm not a fan of but my group is. Effort was made to let me fit in, with a kind of paste which was lovely. Had spaghetti bolognese made for me from the kids menu but as the picture show, it was a regular portion. Great service I’ve been coming to this place for over 20 years – usually on my way from Ljubljana to the coast or vice versa, but sometimes I’ll drive out just to eat here. It’s that good. The service is exceptional – always warm, friendly, and personal. The owners are always there, and they’re the ones serving you, making sure everything is just right. You really feel the passion and care in every visit. The food is amazing. Everything is made from fresh, top-quality ingredients, and you can taste it. My favorite is the fried calamari – hands down the best I’ve ever had. Their homemade desserts are fantastic, and the espresso is always perfect. What’s really impressive is that after all these years, everything is still just as perfect as it was on day one. This place has never slipped – always consistent, always excellent. Truly one of my favorite spots in the world. Nice with very friendly service and great food. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. We had sea bass for 2 and panna cotta and a pie with apricot. All of it was excellent. Would definitely recommend. Outstanding dinner! We came to have some and it honestly was worth the visit. Best meal we had during our holidays in Slovenia. The service couldn’t be better: nice and familiar staff always sharing a smile with you and willing to make your meal as fantastic as possible. We shared some octopus and shrimps as starters and then gilt-head bream (orata), grilled squids, sole and risotto di mare. They brought us side salads as well, maybe to cut down all the calories haha (fresh leaves, super tasty carrot and all the veggies) and the bread was outstanding: many different types (make sure to dress them with their incredible oils). A couple of wine bottles and desserts (make sure to try them, even though you are already full; they are amazing). We had a panacotta, a chocolate cake and an apple struddle. The atmosphere of this is pleasant, giving classic Mediterranean vibe. The owners and other staff are sweet and lovely. Food is and tasty. Appetisers are well seasoned, we had octopus and shrimp salad. Those small shrimp were sweet and strong in flavour with nice texture. Grilled we ordered were fine as well, as simple as grilled can be. Although I recommend this place to all and lovers, I still think that the prices are little too high - considering restaurant’s close distance from the sea. The quality of food is great, yet the dishes are simple (which is good). I’d either expect more reasonable prices or more elevated dishes. Other than that my experience with this was nice.
