On a day with 35 to 40 degrees the sea temp is 18 so very refreshing and great fun. There are lifeguards. The waves and current are very strong like most beaches in Portugal. Portuguese people very family orientated, everybody minds there own business by relaxing and enjoying the weather, the food provided along the promenade as we say in London is fantastic, and delightful.
