Simple, canteen style with excellent bacalau and meat dishes served with home-made wine and bread that we would call “artisanal” back in the states. Here they simply call it Pão. Just like the food, it’s simply prepared but you feel like it should be Michelin rated since it satisfies and leaves nothing else to be desired. Except perhaps for some dessert at the end, which you guessed it, is homemade. They don’t accept bank cards so bring cash. You won’t need a wallet full as the prices are certainly budget friendly. Go here you won’t regret it! The food is delicious and enormous quantities. The price it's ok for the amount of food you are given, since you can bring home what's left. The only thing that needs improving is the amount of noise. Customers talk to loud making sometimes impossible to chat with however you dinning with (not the owners fault of course, but people should be more considerate). Excellent place to eat!! The room is a very big hall with sometimes 150 people having lunch, so its very noisy. The bathroom is just disgusting. Best local food around. Family business with difference.
