There is an excellent taverna with a good choice of food and beverage. Had a great night out. Enjoy people A small, pleasant marina close to a public beach, enough bars and restaurants to suit different tastes and budgets, I would recommend a visit or vacation... It's a beautiful harbour with great restaurants and very good value Peasant focal point of Nea Chora with pleasant walks on nearby beach..The harbour is full of moorings for local fishing boats who offload their catches on on the jetty.Eager restaurant owners on the jetty and nearby snatch to up their fresh and wholesome delicacies.Simply delicious,my friends and I can vouch for it ! Good place to buy fresh fish not expensive. Wild not farm raised. They will clean for you and you will support hard working, honest fishermen. We came here as part of a Glass Bottomed Boat trip. . That took us out of port to a neighbouring island, where we had the opportunity to swim and discuss the Fascinating History of the Area. . Our guide was Very knowledgeable and entertaining. If you are Ever in Chania port I would Highly recommend taking the tour. . Not only do you get to see the local Sea Life. . But gain an understanding of how Chania and Crete came about.
